Meanwhile, the people in Judah said, “The strength of the laborers is giving out, and there is so much rubble that we cannot rebuild the wall.”

And Judah said, The strength of the bearers of burdens is decayed, and there is much rubbish; so that we are not able to build the wall.

Then Judah said, “The strength of the laborers is failing, and there is so much rubbish that we are not able to build the wall.”

“The strength of the burden bearers is failing,
Yet there is much rubbish;
And we ourselves are unable
To rebuild the wall.” -
Then the people of Judah began to complain, “The workers are getting tired, and there is so much rubble to be moved. We will never be able to build the wall by ourselves.”

І було́ від того дня, що половина моїх юнакі́в робили працю, а половина їх міцно тримала списи, щити́, і луки та па́нцері, а зверхники стояли позад Юдиного дому.

— Силы носильщиков на исходе, а здесь так много мусора, что мы не можем отстраивать стену. -
І сталося, що з того дня половина тих, які перебували у вигнанні, виконували роботу, а половина їх охороняла, — списи, щити, луки, панцирі, а володарі — за всім домом Юди,
