Darby Bible Translation

  • Psalm 111a

    Praise the Lord.b
    I will extol the Lord with all my heart
    in the council of the upright and in the assembly.
  • Glorious and Majestic Are His Works

    Hallelujah! I will celebrate Jehovah with [my] whole heart, in the council of the upright, and in the assembly.
  • Great are the works of the Lord;
    they are pondered by all who delight in them.
  • ג

    Great are the works of Jehovah; sought out of all that delight in them.
  • Glorious and majestic are his deeds,
    and his righteousness endures forever.
  • ה

    His work is majesty and splendour, and his righteousness abideth for ever.
  • He has caused his wonders to be remembered;
    the Lord is gracious and compassionate.
  • ז

    He hath made his wonders to be remembered: Jehovah is gracious and merciful.
  • He provides food for those who fear him;
    he remembers his covenant forever.
  • ט

    He hath given meat unto them that fear him; he is ever mindful of his covenant.
  • He has shown his people the power of his works,
    giving them the lands of other nations.
  • כ

    He hath shewn his people the power of his works, to give them the heritage of the nations.
  • The works of his hands are faithful and just;
    all his precepts are trustworthy.
  • מ

    The works of his hands are truth and judgment; all his precepts are faithful:
  • They are established for ever and ever,
    enacted in faithfulness and uprightness.
  • ס

    Maintained for ever and ever, done in truth and uprightness.
  • He provided redemption for his people;
    he ordained his covenant forever —
    holy and awesome is his name.
  • פ

    He sent deliverance unto his people; he hath commanded his covenant for ever: holy and terrible is his name.
  • The fear of the Lord is the beginning of wisdom;
    all who follow his precepts have good understanding.
    To him belongs eternal praise.
  • ר

    The fear of Jehovah is the beginning of wisdom; a good understanding have all they that do [his precepts]: his praise abideth for ever.
