Darby Bible Translation

  • Psalm 121
    A song of ascents.

    I lift up my eyes to the mountains —
    where does my help come from?
  • I Will Lift Up My Eyes to the Hills

    {A Song of degrees.} I lift up mine eyes unto the mountains: whence shall my help come?
  • My help comes from the Lord,
    the Maker of heaven and earth.
  • My help [cometh] from Jehovah, who made the heavens and the earth.
  • He will not let your foot slip —
    he who watches over you will not slumber;
  • He will not suffer thy foot to be moved; he that keepeth thee will not slumber.
  • indeed, he who watches over Israel
    will neither slumber nor sleep.
  • Behold, he that keepeth Israel will neither slumber nor sleep.
  • The Lord watches over you —
    the Lord is your shade at your right hand;
  • Jehovah is thy keeper, Jehovah is thy shade upon thy right hand;
  • the sun will not harm you by day,
    nor the moon by night.
  • The sun shall not smite thee by day, nor the moon by night.
  • The Lord will keep you from all harm —
    he will watch over your life;
  • Jehovah will keep thee from all evil; he will keep thy soul.
  • the Lord will watch over your coming and going
    both now and forevermore.
  • Jehovah will keep thy going out and thy coming in, from henceforth and for evermore.
