  • Psalm 54a

    For the director of music. With stringed instruments. A maskilb of David. When the Ziphites had gone to Saul and said, β€œIs not David hiding among us?”

    Save me, O God, by your name;
    vindicate me by your might.
  • Save me, O God, by Your name,
    And vindicate me by Your power.
  • Hear my prayer, O God;
    listen to the words of my mouth.
  • Hear my prayer, O God;
    Give ear to the words of my mouth.
  • Arrogant foes are attacking me;
    ruthless people are trying to kill me β€”
    people without regard for God.c
  • For strangers have risen against me
    And violent men have sought my life;
    They have not set God before them.
    Selah.
    Behold, God is my helper;
    The Lord is the sustainer of my soul.
    He will recompense the evil to my foes;
    Destroy them in Your faithfulness.
    Willingly I will sacrifice to You;
    I will give thanks to Your name, O LORD, for it is good.
    For He has delivered me from all trouble,
    And my eye has looked with satisfaction upon my enemies.
  • Surely God is my help;
    the Lord is the one who sustains me.
  • Behold, God is my helper;
    The Lord is the sustainer of my soul.
  • Let evil recoil on those who slander me;
    in your faithfulness destroy them.
  • He will recompense the evil to my foes;
    Destroy them in Your faithfulness.
  • I will sacrifice a freewill offering to you;
    I will praise your name, Lord, for it is good.
  • Willingly I will sacrifice to You;
    I will give thanks to Your name, O LORD, for it is good.
  • You have delivered me from all my troubles,
    and my eyes have looked in triumph on my foes.
  • For He has delivered me from all trouble,
    And my eye has looked with satisfaction upon my enemies.
