New King James Version

  • Psalm 92a

    A psalm. A song. For the Sabbath day.

    It is good to praise the Lord
    and make music to your name, O Most High,
  • Praise to the Lord for His Love and Faithfulness

    A Psalm. A Song for the Sabbath day.

    It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
    And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
  • proclaiming your love in the morning
    and your faithfulness at night,
  • To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning,
    And Your faithfulness every night,
  • to the music of the ten-stringed lyre
    and the melody of the harp.
  • On an instrument of ten strings,
    On the lute,
    And on the harp,
    With harmonious sound.
  • For you make me glad by your deeds, Lord;
    I sing for joy at what your hands have done.
  • For You, Lord, have made me glad through Your work;
    I will triumph in the works of Your hands.
  • How great are your works, Lord,
    how profound your thoughts!
  • O Lord, how great are Your works!
    Your thoughts are very deep.
  • Senseless people do not know,
    fools do not understand,
  • A senseless man does not know,
    Nor does a fool understand this.
  • that though the wicked spring up like grass
    and all evildoers flourish,
    they will be destroyed forever.
  • When the wicked [a]spring up like grass,
    And when all the workers of iniquity flourish,
    It is that they may be destroyed forever.
  • But you, Lord, are forever exalted.
  • But You, Lord, are on high forevermore.
  • For surely your enemies, Lord,
    surely your enemies will perish;
    all evildoers will be scattered.
  • For behold, Your enemies, O Lord,
    For behold, Your enemies shall perish;
    All the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
  • You have exalted my hornb like that of a wild ox;
    fine oils have been poured on me.
  • But my [b]horn You have exalted like a wild ox;
    I have been anointed with fresh oil.
  • My eyes have seen the defeat of my adversaries;
    my ears have heard the rout of my wicked foes.
  • My eye also has seen my desire on my enemies;
    My ears hear my desire on the wicked
    Who rise up against me.
  • The righteous will flourish like a palm tree,
    they will grow like a cedar of Lebanon;
  • The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree,
    He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
  • planted in the house of the Lord,
    they will flourish in the courts of our God.
  • Those who are planted in the house of the Lord
    Shall flourish in the courts of our God.
  • They will still bear fruit in old age,
    they will stay fresh and green,
  • They shall still bear fruit in old age;
    They shall be [c]fresh and [d]flourishing,
  • proclaiming, “The Lord is upright;
    he is my Rock, and there is no wickedness in him.”
  • To declare that the Lord is upright;
    He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
