Deliverance of Israel

In that day,
the Lord will punish with his sword —
his fierce, great and powerful sword —
Leviathan the gliding serpent,
Leviathan the coiling serpent;
he will slay the monster of the sea.

В тот день Господь возьмёт Свой меч, великий, закалённый и могучий, и накажет Левиафана, этого коварного змея, и убьёт чудовище морское.

In that day —
“Sing about a fruitful vineyard:

В те времена все люди будут петь о винограднике любимом.

I, the Lord, watch over it;
I water it continually.
I guard it day and night
so that no one may harm it.

"Я, Господь, сторожу тот виноградник, его Я поливаю в назначенное время и днём и ночью охраняю, чтобы никто его не повредил.

I am not angry.
If only there were briers and thorns confronting me!
I would march against them in battle;
I would set them all on fire.

Мой гнев прошёл. Но если кто его стеной окружит из кустов колючих, Я на того пойду войной и всё сожгу.

Or else let them come to me for refuge;
let them make peace with me,
yes, let them make peace with me.”

Но если кто придёт ко Мне, чтобы укрыться, желая мира, то пусть придёт и мир со Мною заключит!

In days to come Jacob will take root,
Israel will bud and blossom
and fill all the world with fruit.

В грядущем Иаков пустит глубокие корни, Израиль прорастёт, растению подобно, и мир наполнится детьми их".

Has the Lord struck her
as he struck down those who struck her?
Has she been killed
as those were killed who killed her?

Как же Господь накажет свой народ? В прошлом вред людям наносили враги. Так ли и Господь поступит? В прошлом многие были убиты. Поступит ли Господь так же, убив множество народа?

By warfarea and exile you contend with her —
with his fierce blast he drives her out,
as on a day the east wind blows.

Господь окончит спор с Израилем, отвергнув его. Его суровый упрёк будет обжигать, словно горячий ветер пустыни.

By this, then, will Jacob’s guilt be atoned for,
and this will be the full fruit of the removal of his sin:
When he makes all the altar stones
to be like limestone crushed to pieces,
no Asherah polesb or incense altars
will be left standing.

И потому лишь так грехи Иакова будут искуплены. Вот что должно быть сделано во искупление его греха: пусть камни алтаря будут сокрушены, словно известь, и их пыль развеяна, и пусть не останутся стоять ни столбы Ашеры, ни алтари для возжигания курений!

The fortified city stands desolate,
an abandoned settlement, forsaken like the wilderness;
there the calves graze,
there they lie down;
they strip its branches bare.

И станет великий город пустыней, жители покинут его, и город станет подобен открытому пастбищу, на котором молодые стада будут есть траву и листву виноградника.

When its twigs are dry, they are broken off
and women come and make fires with them.
For this is a people without understanding;
so their Maker has no compassion on them,
and their Creator shows them no favor.

Виноградник засохнет, ветки его обломают, и женщины будут топить ими, как хворостом. Это безрассудный народ, и потому Бог, их Создатель, его не утешит, Творец его не помилует.

In that day the Lord will thresh from the flowing Euphrates to the Wadi of Egypt, and you, Israel, will be gathered up one by one.

И тогда Господь начнёт отделять Свой народ от других, начнёт от Евфрата. Господь соберёт весь Свой народ от Евфрата и до реки Египта, и вы, народ Израиля, будете собраны все вместе, один к другому.

13

And in that day a great trumpet will sound. Those who were perishing in Assyria and those who were exiled in Egypt will come and worship the Lord on the holy mountain in Jerusalem.
