Немає ніко́го, хто б кликав на суд, і нікого нема, хто судився б попра́вді, — кожен надію кладе на марно́ту й говорить неправду, вагітні́є бідою й поро́джує зло́чин!

Тому́ віддали́лося право від нас, і не сяга́є до нас справедли́вість! чекаємо світла, — та ось темнота́, чекаємо ся́йва — та й у те́мнощах хо́димо!

Ми ма́цаємо, мов невидю́щі, за сті́ну, навпо́мацки хо́димо, мов ті безо́кі; спотика́ємося ми опі́вдні, немов би смерко́м, між здоровими ми, як померлі!

Усі ми реве́мо, як ведме́ді, і мов голуби́ ті постійно ворко́чемо, чекаємо права — й немає, спасі́ння — й від нас віддали́лось воно.

Бо помно́жились наші пере́ступи перед Тобою, і свідку́ють на нас гріхи наші, бо з нами пере́ступи наші, а наші прови́ни — ми знаємо їх!

inciting revolt and oppression,
uttering lies our hearts have conceived.

Ми зраджували й говорили неправду на Господа, і повідступа́ли від нашого Бога, казали про у́тиск та ві́дступ, вагітні́ли й виду́мували з свого серця слова́ неправди́ві.

І правосу́ддя наза́д відступи́лося, а справедливість здале́ка стоїть, бо на майда́ні спіткну́лася правда, праведність ж не може прийти, —

і правда зникла, а той, хто від злого відходить, грабо́ваний. І це бачить Господь, — і лихе в Його о́чах, що права нема!

so his own arm achieved salvation for him,

І Він бачив, що немає ніко́го, і дивува́всь, що немає засту́пника. Та раме́но Його Йому допомогло́, і Його праведність підпе́рла Його, —

and wrapped himself in zeal as in a cloak.

і Він зодягну́в праведність, як па́нцер, а шоло́ма спасі́ння — на Свою голову, і зодягну́в шати по́мсти, як одяг, і покри́вся горли́вістю, мов би плаще́м!

Надолу́жить Він гнівом Своїм ворога́м згідно з учи́нками їхніми. Своїм супроти́вним — запла́тою, острова́м надолу́жить запла́ту.
І будуть боятися Йме́ння Господнього з за́ходу, а слави Його́ — зо схід сонця, бо при́йде, як річка рвучка́, — вітер Господній її пожене́, —

і при́йде Викупи́тель Сіо́нові й тим, хто вернувся із про́гріху в Якові, каже Господь.

А Я — ось із ними умова Моя, говорить Господь: Мій Дух, який на тобі, та слова́ Мої, що поклав Я до уст твоїх, не усту́плять вони з твоїх уст, і з уст наща́дків твоїх, і з уст нащадків пото́мства твого́, говорить Господь, відтепе́р й аж навіки!
