Darby Bible Translation

  • The End Times

“At that time Michael, the great prince who protects your people, will arise. There will be a time of distress such as has not happened from the beginning of nations until then. But at that time your people — everyone whose name is found written in the book — will be delivered.
  • Michael's Deliverance and the End Times

And at that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince who standeth for the children of thy people; and there shall be a time of distress, such as never was since there was a nation until that time. And at that time thy people shall be delivered, every one that is found written in the book.
  • Multitudes who sleep in the dust of the earth will awake: some to everlasting life, others to shame and everlasting contempt.
  • And many of them that sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame, to everlasting contempt.
  • Those who are wisea will shine like the brightness of the heavens, and those who lead many to righteousness, like the stars for ever and ever.
  • And they that are wise shall shine as the brightness of the expanse; and they that turn the many to righteousness as the stars, for ever and ever.
  • But you, Daniel, roll up and seal the words of the scroll until the time of the end. Many will go here and there to increase knowledge.”
  • And thou, Daniel, close the words, and seal the book, till the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall be increased.
  • Then I, Daniel, looked, and there before me stood two others, one on this bank of the river and one on the opposite bank.
  • And I Daniel looked, and behold, there stood other two, the one on this side, on the bank of the river, and the other on that side, on the bank of the river.
  • One of them said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, “How long will it be before these astonishing things are fulfilled?”
  • And he said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, How long [is it to] the end of these wonders?
  • The man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, lifted his right hand and his left hand toward heaven, and I heard him swear by him who lives forever, saying, “It will be for a time, times and half a time.b When the power of the holy people has been finally broken, all these things will be completed.”
  • And I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river; and he held up his right hand and his left hand unto the heavens, and swore by him that liveth for ever that it is for a time, times, and a half; and when the scattering of the power of the holy people shall be accomplished, all these things shall be finished.
  • I heard, but I did not understand. So I asked, “My lord, what will the outcome of all this be?”
  • And I heard, but I understood not. And I said, My lord, what shall be the end of these things?
  • He replied, “Go your way, Daniel, because the words are rolled up and sealed until the time of the end.
  • And he said, Go thy way, Daniel; for these words are closed and sealed till the time of the end.
  • Many will be purified, made spotless and refined, but the wicked will continue to be wicked. None of the wicked will understand, but those who are wise will understand.
  • Many shall be purified, and be made white, and be refined; but the wicked shall do wickedly: and none of the wicked shall understand; but the wise shall understand.
  • “From the time that the daily sacrifice is abolished and the abomination that causes desolation is set up, there will be 1,290 days.
  • And from the time that the continual [sacrifice] is taken away, and the abomination that maketh desolate set up, [there shall be] a thousand, two hundred, and ninety days.
  • Blessed is the one who waits for and reaches the end of the 1,335 days.
  • Blessed is he that waiteth, and cometh to the thousand three hundred and thirty-five days!
  • “As for you, go your way till the end. You will rest, and then at the end of the days you will rise to receive your allotted inheritance.”
  • But do thou go thy way until the end; and thou shalt rest, and stand in thy lot at the end of the days.
