А тот изнутри ответил: "Не беспокой меня, дверь моего дома заперта, и я с детьми уже в постели и не могу встать и дать тебе то, что ты просишь".
Может быть, недостаточно только дружбы, говорю Я вам, чтобы заставить этого человека подняться и дать тебе хлеб. Но он непременно даст тебе столько, сколько тебе нужно, если ты будешь настойчив.
“So I say to you: Ask and it will be given to you; seek and you will find; knock and the door will be opened to you.

For everyone who asks receives; the one who seeks finds; and to the one who knocks, the door will be opened.

If you then, though you are evil, know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father in heaven give the Holy Spirit to those who ask him!”

Но некоторые говорили: "Иисус получил Свою силу от веельзевула, князя бесовского, потому Он и изгоняет бесов из людей".

If Satan is divided against himself, how can his kingdom stand? I say this because you claim that I drive out demons by Beelzebul.
И если сатана будет сам против себя сражаться, то как же будет существовать царство его? Вы говорите, что Я пользуюсь властью, данной Мне веельзевулом, чтобы изгонять бесов.
Now if I drive out demons by Beelzebul, by whom do your followers drive them out? So then, they will be your judges.
Но, если Я пользуюсь властью веельзевула, чтобы изгонять бесов, то чьей же властью пользуются ваши последователи, когда изгоняют бесов? Они же сами доказывают вашу неправоту.
But if I drive out demons by the finger of God, then the kingdom of God has come upon you.
Я же пользуюсь только силой, исходящей от Бога, чтобы изгонять бесов, а это значит, что Царство Божие даровано вам!
“When a strong man, fully armed, guards his own house, his possessions are safe.
Когда сильный человек, да ещё хорошо вооружённый, охраняет свой дом, имущество его будет сохранно,
But when someone stronger attacks and overpowers him, he takes away the armor in which the man trusted and divides up his plunder.
но если на него нападёт кто-то сильнее его самого и одолеет его, то более сильный отберёт у более слабого и оружие, на которое тот полагался, и имуществом его распорядится, как захочет.
“Whoever is not with me is against me, and whoever does not gather with me scatters.
Кто не со Мной, тот против Меня, и кто не собирает со Мной, тот расточает".
“When an impure spirit comes out of a person, it goes through arid places seeking rest and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to the house I left.’

Then it goes and takes seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they go in and live there. And the final condition of that person is worse than the first.”

As Jesus was saying these things, a woman in the crowd called out, “Blessed is the mother who gave you birth and nursed you.”

He replied, “Blessed rather are those who hear the word of God and obey it.”

See to it, then, that the light within you is not darkness.
Смотри же, чтобы свет, который в тебе, не стал тьмой.
Therefore, if your whole body is full of light, and no part of it dark, it will be just as full of light as when a lamp shines its light on you.”
Если же тело твоё светло и в нём нет ни одной тёмной части, то оно будет сверкать, как если бы сияние светильника освещало тебя".
Woes on the Pharisees and the Experts in the Law

You foolish people! Did not the one who made the outside make the inside also?
Неразумные! Не Тот ли, кто сотворил внешнее, сотворил и внутреннее?
But now as for what is inside you — be generous to the poor, and everything will be clean for you.
Так отдайте же то, чем полны ваши блюда и чаши, бедным, и тогда очиститесь сами.
“Woe to you Pharisees, because you give God a tenth of your mint, rue and all other kinds of garden herbs, but you neglect justice and the love of God. You should have practiced the latter without leaving the former undone.
Но горе вам, фарисеи, ибо даёте десятую часть мяты, руты и других трав Богу, а справедливостью и любовью к Богу пренебрегаете. И это надлежит делать, и другим не пренебрегать.
“Woe to you Pharisees, because you love the most important seats in the synagogues and respectful greetings in the marketplaces.
Горе вам, фарисеи, ибо вы любите главные места в синагогах и почётные приветствия на площадях.
“Woe to you, because you are like unmarked graves, which people walk over without knowing it.”
Горе вам, ибо вы подобны безымянным могилам, по которым, не зная того, ходят люди".
One of the experts in the law answered him, “Teacher, when you say these things, you insult us also.”
Один из законников ответил Иисусу: "Учитель, говоря это, Ты обижаешь также и нас".
Jesus replied, “And you experts in the law, woe to you, because you load people down with burdens they can hardly carry, and you yourselves will not lift one finger to help them.
И Иисус сказал: "Горе и вам, законники, ибо возлагаете на людей бремя тяжёлое, а сами и пальцем не пошевелите, чтобы помочь нести это бремя.
“Woe to you, because you build tombs for the prophets, and it was your ancestors who killed them.
Горе вам, ибо строите гробницы пророкам, а ведь этих самых пророков и убили ваши предки.
So you testify that you approve of what your ancestors did; they killed the prophets, and you build their tombs.
А теперь вы показываете людям, что одобряете сделанное вашими предками, ибо они убили пророков, а вы им гробницы строите.
Because of this, God in his wisdom said, ‘I will send them prophets and apostles, some of whom they will kill and others they will persecute.’
Поэтому и мудрость Божья говорит: "Я пошлю им пророков и апостолов; одних они убьют, других будут преследовать".
Therefore this generation will be held responsible for the blood of all the prophets that has been shed since the beginning of the world,
И потому с этого поколения взыщется кровь всех пророков, пролитая от основания мира:
from the blood of Abel to the blood of Zechariah, who was killed between the altar and the sanctuary. Yes, I tell you, this generation will be held responsible for it all.
от крови Авеля и до крови Захарии, убитого между алтарём и храмом. Да, говорю вам, с вас, живущих ныне, взыщется за всех за них.
“Woe to you experts in the law, because you have taken away the key to knowledge. You yourselves have not entered, and you have hindered those who were entering.”
Горе вам, законники, ибо вы похитили ключ познания о Господе. Вы и сами не пожелали обрести это знание, и другим помешали".
When Jesus went outside, the Pharisees and the teachers of the law began to oppose him fiercely and to besiege him with questions,
