Peter Heals a Lame Beggar
One day Peter and John were going up to the temple at the time of prayer — at three in the afternoon.

А Петро та Іван на дев'яту годину молитви йшли ра́зом у храм.
Now a man who was lame from birth was being carried to the temple gate called Beautiful, where he was put every day to beg from those going into the temple courts.
І не́сено там чоловіка одно́го, що кривий був з утро́би своєї матері. Його садови́ли щоденно в воро́тях храму, що Красними звалися, просити ми́лостині від тих, хто до храму йшов.
When he saw Peter and John about to enter, he asked them for money.
Як побачив же він, що Петро та Іван хочуть у храм увійти, став просити в них милостині.
Peter looked straight at him, as did John. Then Peter said, “Look at us!”
Петро ж із Іваном поглянув на нього й сказав: „Подивися на нас!“
So the man gave them his attention, expecting to get something from them.
І той подивився на них, сподіваючися щось дістати від них.
Then Peter said, “Silver or gold I do not have, but what I do have I give you. In the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, walk.”
Та промовив Петро: „Срібла й золота в мене нема, але що я маю, даю тобі: У Ім'я́ Ісуса Христа Назаряни́на — устань та й ходи!“
Taking him by the right hand, he helped him up, and instantly the man’s feet and ankles became strong.
І, узявши його за прави́цю, він підвів його. І хвилі тієї зміцни́лися но́ги й сугло́бці його!
He jumped to his feet and began to walk. Then he went with them into the temple courts, walking and jumping, and praising God.
І, зірвавшись, він устав та й ходив, і з ними у храм увійшов, ходячи та підскакуючи, і хвалячи Бога!
When all the people saw him walking and praising God,
Наро́д же ввесь бачив, як ходив він та Бога хвалив.
they recognized him as the same man who used to sit begging at the temple gate called Beautiful, and they were filled with wonder and amazement at what had happened to him.
І пізнали його, що це той, що при Красних воро́тях храму сидів ради милостині. І вони перепо́внились жа́хом та по́дивом із того, що́ сталось йому!
Peter Speaks to the Onlookers
While the man held on to Peter and John, all the people were astonished and came running to them in the place called Solomon’s Colonnade.

А тому́, що тримався він Петра та Івана, увесь наро́д зачудований збігся до них на той ґанок, який Соломоновим зветься.
When Peter saw this, he said to them: “Fellow Israelites, why does this surprise you? Why do you stare at us as if by our own power or godliness we had made this man walk?
І, побачивши це, промовив Петро до наро́ду: „Мужі ізраїльські! Чого ви дивуєтесь цим, та чого ви на нас позира́єте так, ніби те, що він ходить, ми зробили своєю силою чи благоче́стям?
The God of Abraham, Isaac and Jacob, the God of our fathers, has glorified his servant Jesus. You handed him over to be killed, and you disowned him before Pilate, though he had decided to let him go.
„Бог Авраамів, та Ісаків, та Яковів, Бог наших батьків, Сина Свого прославив“, Ісуса, Якого ви ви́дали, і відцуралися перед Пилатом, як він присудив був пустити Його.
You disowned the Holy and Righteous One and asked that a murderer be released to you.
Але ви відцура́лись Святого та Праведного, і домагалися видати вам душогубця.
You killed the author of life, but God raised him from the dead. We are witnesses of this.
Начальника ж життя ви забили, та Його воскресив Бог із мертвих, чого свідками — ми!
By faith in the name of Jesus, this man whom you see and know was made strong. It is Jesus’ name and the faith that comes through him that has completely healed him, as you can all see.
І через віру в Ім'я́ Його вздоро́вило Ім'я́ Його того, кого бачите й знаєте. І віра, що від Нього, прине́сла йому вздоро́влення це перед вами всіма́.
“Now, fellow Israelites, I know that you acted in ignorance, as did your leaders.
А тепер, браття, знаю, що вчинили ви це з несвідо́мости, як і ваші начальники.
But this is how God fulfilled what he had foretold through all the prophets, saying that his Messiah would suffer.
А Бог учинив так, як Він провіщав був уста́ми Своїх усіх пророків, щоб терпіти Христові.
Repent, then, and turn to God, so that your sins may be wiped out, that times of refreshing may come from the Lord,
Покайтеся ж та наверні́ться, щоб Він змилувався над вашими гріхами,
and that he may send the Messiah, who has been appointed for you — even Jesus.
щоб часи́ відпочинку прийшли від обличчя Господнього, і щоб послав запові́дженого вам Ісуса Христа,
Heaven must receive him until the time comes for God to restore everything, as he promised long ago through his holy prophets.
що Його небо мусить прийняти аж до ча́су відно́влення всього, про що провіщав Бог від віку устами всіх святих пророків Своїх!
For Moses said, ‘The Lord your God will raise up for you a prophet like me from among your own people; you must listen to everything he tells you.
Бо Мойсей провіща́в: „Господь Бог вам Пророка піді́йме від ваших братів, як мене; у всім Його слухайтеся, про що тільки Він вам говоритиме!“
„І станеться, що кожна душа, яка не послухала б того Пророка, зни́щена буде з наро́ду“.
“Indeed, beginning with Samuel, all the prophets who have spoken have foretold these days.
Так само всі пророки від Самуї́ла й наступних, скільки їх говорило, також провіщали ці дні.
Сини ви пророків і того заповіту, що Бог вашим батька́м заповів, промовляючи до Авраама: „І в насінні твоїм усі народи землі благосло́влені будуть!“
