And our elders and all those living in our country said to us, ‘Take provisions for your journey; go and meet them and say to them, “We are your servants; make a treaty with us.” ’

Wherefore our elders and all the inhabitants of our country spake to us, saying, Take victuals with you for the journey, and go to meet them, and say unto them, We are your servants: therefore now make ye a league with us.

Слыша сие, старейшины наши и все жители нашей земли сказали нам: возьмите в руки ваши хлеба на дорогу и пойдите навстречу им и скажите им: «мы рабы ваши; итак, заключите с нами союз».

Тому наші старші й усі мешканці землі нашої сказали нам: Візьміть із собою харчів на дорогу та й ідіть назустріч їм і скажіть їм: Ми — ваші слуги, тож укладіть союз з нами.

І сказали до нас наші старші́ та всі ме́шканці нашого кра́ю, говорячи: Візьміть у свою руку поживу на дорогу, і йдіть навпроти них та й скажете їм: Ми ваші раби, а тепер складіть із нами умову.

Наши старейшины и все жители нашей страны сказали нам: «Соберите в дорогу пищу, идите, встретьтесь с ними и скажите им: „Мы ваши слуги; заключите с нами союз“».

І, почувши про це, наші старійшини і всі, хто живе на нашій землі, звернулися до нас, говорячи: Візьміть собі заготовлену їжу на дорогу, підіть їм назустріч і скажете їм: Ми є твоїми слугами! Тож тепер складіть з нами завіт.
