David asked Ahimelek, “Don’t you have a spear or a sword here? I haven’t brought my sword or any other weapon, because the king’s mission was urgent.”

And David said unto Ahimelech, And is there not here under thine hand spear or sword? for I have neither brought my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king's business required haste.

And David said to Ahimelech, “Is there not here on hand a spear or a sword? For I have brought neither my sword nor my weapons with me, because the king’s business required haste.”

И сказал Давид Ахимелеху: нет ли здесь у тебя под рукою копья или меча? ибо я не взял с собою ни меча, ни другого оружия, так как поручение царя было спешное.

Був же там саме того дня один зо слуг Саула, що був затримався перед обличчям Господнім, на ім'я Доег, едомій, старший над Сауловими пастухами.

І поспитав Давид ув Ахимелеха: Чи нема в тебе якого списа або меча під рукою? Бо я не взяв із собою нї меча нї иншої зброї, бо наказ царській був спішний. -
А там того дня знахо́дився один із Саулових рабів перед Господнім лицем, а ім'я́ йому Доеґ, ідуме́янин, провідник пастухів, яких мав Саул.

Давид спросил Ахимелеха:
— Нет ли у тебя здесь копья или меча? Я не захватил ни своего меча, ни иного оружия, потому что дело царя было срочным. -
А в той день там був один зі слуг Саула, котрий затримався перед Господом, і його ім’я — Доек, сирієць,
