Was that day the first time I inquired of God for him? Of course not! Let not the king accuse your servant or any of his father’s family, for your servant knows nothing at all about this whole affair.”

Хіба сьогодні зачав я питати для нього Бога? Борони мене Боже! Нехай цар не кладе закиду на раба свого та на ввесь дім батька мого, бо в усьому тому твій раб не знає нічого, — ані мало́го, ані великого“.

Разве в тот день я в первый раз спрашивал для него Бога? Конечно, нет! Пусть царь не винит ни твоего слугу, ни кого-либо из членов семьи моего отца, ведь твой слуга совсем ничего не знает об этом деле.

Хіба сьогодні почав я питати за нього в Бога? Зовсім ні. Хай не видає цар звинувачення проти свого раба й проти всього дому мого батька, бо твій раб у цьому всьому не знав слова малого чи великого!
