So Achish called David and said to him, “As surely as the Lord lives, you have been reliable, and I would be pleased to have you serve with me in the army. From the day you came to me until today, I have found no fault in you, but the rulers don’t approve of you.

Then Achish called David, and said unto him, Surely, as the LORD liveth, thou hast been upright, and thy going out and thy coming in with me in the host is good in my sight: for I have not found evil in thee since the day of thy coming unto me unto this day: nevertheless the lords favour thee not.

Then Achish called David and said to him, “Surely, as the Lord lives, you have been upright, and your going out and your coming in with me in the army is good in my sight. For to this day I have not found evil in you since the day of your coming to me. Nevertheless the lords do not favor you.

Then Achish called David and said to him, “As the Lord lives, you have been honest, and to me it seems right that you should march out and in with me in the campaign. For I have found nothing wrong in you from the day of your coming to me to this day. Nevertheless, the lords do not approve of you. -

So Achish finally summoned David and said to him, “I swear by the LORD that you have been a trustworthy ally. I think you should go with me into battle, for I’ve never found a single flaw in you from the day you arrived until today. But the other Philistine rulers won’t hear of it.

И призвал Анхус Давида и сказал ему: жив Господь! ты честен, и глазам моим приятно было бы, чтобы ты выходил и входил со мною в ополчении; ибо я не заметил в тебе худого со времени прихода твоего ко мне до сего дня; но в глазах князей ты не хорош.

Покликав Ахіш Давида й каже до нього: «Як живе Господь, ти чесний, і милі моїм очам у таборі всі твої виходи й входи, бо я не знайшов нічого злого в тобі з того часу, як ти прийшов до мене, та й понині, однак князям ти не довподоби.

І звелїв Анхуз покликати Давида та й каже йому: Так певно, як живе Господь: ти щирий, і мило було б очам моїм, щоб ти в таборі зо мною виходив і ввіходив, бо я не знайшов у тебе нїякого зла з того часу, як прийшов єси до мене та й по сей день; та иншим князям ти не під мислї. -
І покликав Ахіш Давида, і сказав до нього: „Як живий Господь, — ти правдивий, і в моїх оча́х добрий твій вихід та вхід твій зо мною в табо́рі, бо я не знайшов у тобі зла від дня прихо́ду твого до мене аж до цього дня. Та в оча́х князі́в ти не добрий.

Ахиш призвал Давида и сказал ему:
— Верно, как и то, что жив Господь: ты честен, и мне было бы приятно позволить тебе служить со мной в войске. С того дня, когда ты пришел ко мне, и до сегодняшнего дня я не нашел в тебе ничего плохого, но вожди тебя не одобряют. -
І Анхус покликав Давида, і сказав йому: Хай живе Господь, бо ти праведний і добрий у моїх очах, і твій вхід і твій вихід у таборі зі мною, і не знайшов я в тебе зла від того дня, коли ти прийшов до мене, аж до сьогоднішнього дня. Та в очах сатрапів ти не добрий.
