that the Lord appeared to Solomon the second time, as He had appeared to him at Gibeon.
то Госпо́дь явився Соломонові другий раз, як явився йому в Ґів'оні.
And the Lord said to him: “I have heard your prayer and your supplication that you have made before Me; I have consecrated this house which you have built to put My name there forever, and My eyes and My heart will be there perpetually.
І сказав Господь до нього: „Вислухав Я моли́тви твої та блага́ння твої, якими благав ти перед лицем Моїм, — Я освятив той храм, що ти збудував, щоб покласти Ім'я́ Моє там аж навіки. І бу́дуть там Мої очі та серце Моє по всі дні.
Now if you walk before Me as your father David walked, in integrity of heart and in uprightness, to do according to all that I have commanded you, and if you keep My statutes and My judgments,
А ти, якщо будеш ходити перед лицем Моїм, як ходив був батько твій Давид, у чистості серця та в правоті, щоб зроби́ти все, що наказав Я тобі, якщо бу́деш дотримуватися уставів Моїх та постанов Моїх,
then I will establish the throne of your kingdom over Israel forever, as I promised David your father, saying, ‘You shall not fail to have a man on the throne of Israel.’
то трона царства твого над Ізраїлем Я поста́влю навіки, як Я говорив був батькові твоєму Давидові, кажучи: Не бу́де перево́ду ніко́му з нащадків твоїх на Ізраїлевім тро́ні.
Якщо ж справді відве́рнетеся ви та ваші сини́ від Мене, і не бу́дете дотри́мувати за́повідей Моїх та уставів Моїх, що Я дав вам, і пі́дете, і будете служити іншим богам, і будете вклонятися їм,
то Я ви́нищу Ізраїля з поверхні землі, яку дав їм, а цей храм, що Я освятив для Йме́ння Свого, відкину від лиця Свого. І стане Ізраїль за припові́стку та за посміхо́вище серед усіх народів!
And as for this house, which is exalted, everyone who passes by it will be astonished and will hiss, and say, ‘Why has the Lord done thus to this land and to this house?’
І храм цей найвищий, — кожен, хто прохо́дитиме біля нього, скам'яні́є та свисне від здивування. І скажуть: За що Господь зробив так цьому Кра́єві та храмові цьому?..
Then they will answer, ‘Because they forsook the Lord their God, who brought their fathers out of the land of Egypt, and have embraced other gods, and worshiped them and served them; therefore the Lord has brought all this calamity on them.’ ”
І відкажуть: За те, що вони покинули Господа, Бога свого, Який вивів їхніх батьків з єгипетського кра́ю, і держа́лися міцно інших богів, і вклонялися їм, і служили їм, — тому Господь навів на них усе оце лихо!“
Solomon and Hiram Exchange Gifts
Now it happened at the end of twenty years, when Solomon had built the two houses, the house of the Lord and the king’s house

(Hiram the king of Tyre had supplied Solomon with cedar and cypress and gold, as much as he desired), that King Solomon then gave Hiram twenty cities in the land of Galilee.
а Хіра́м, цар ти́рський, достача́в Соломонові ке́дрові дере́ва й дере́ва кипари́сові, та золото на кожне бажа́ння його, тоді цар Соломон дав Хірамові двадцять міст у кра́ї Ґаліл.
Then Hiram went from Tyre to see the cities which Solomon had given him, but they did not please him.
І вийшов Хірам із Тиру, щоб побачити ті міста, які дав йому Соломон, — і не вподо́бались йому вони.
І він сказав: „Що́ це за міста́, які ти дав мені, мій брате?“ І він назвав ім'я їм: Край Кавулу,і так вони звуться аж до цього дня.
Then Hiram sent the king one hundred and twenty talents of gold.
І послав Хірам цареві сто й двадцять тала́нтів золота.
А оце нака́з тих поборів, які брав цар Соломон на збудува́ння храму Господнього та дому свого, і Мілло, і муру єрусалимського, і Хацору, і Меґіддо, і Ґезеру.
(Pharaoh king of Egypt had gone up and taken Gezer and burned it with fire, had killed the Canaanites who dwelt in the city, and had given it as a dowry to his daughter, Solomon’s wife.)
Фарао́н, єгипетський цар, прийшов і здобув Ґе́зер, та й спалив його огнем, а ханаане́янина, що сидів у місті, убив, і віддав його як ві́но для своєї дочки́, Соломонової жінки.
And Solomon built Gezer, Lower Beth Horon,
І вибудував Соломон Ґезера, і Бет-Горона До́лішнього,
Baalath, and Tadmor in the wilderness, in the land of Judah,
і Баалата, і Тамара в пустині того кра́ю,
all the storage cities that Solomon had, cities for his chariots and cities for his cavalry, and whatever Solomon desired to build in Jerusalem, in Lebanon, and in all the land of his dominion.
і всі міста на запа́си, що були Соломонові, і міста на колесни́ці, і міста на верхівців, і інші бажа́ння Соломонові, що бажав збудувати в Єрусалимі та на Ливані, та в усьому Кра́ї панува́ння його́.
All the people who were left of the Amorites, Hittites, Perizzites, Hivites, and Jebusites, who were not of the children of Israel —
Увесь народ, що позоста́вся з аморе́ян, хітте́ян та періззе́ян, хівве́ян та євусе́ян, що вони не з Ізраїлевих синів,
that is, their descendants who were left in the land after them, whom the children of Israel had not been able to destroy completely — from these Solomon raised forced labor, as it is to this day.
їхні сини́, що були позоста́влені по них у Кра́ю, яких Ізра́їлеві сини не могли ви́губити, — то взяв їх Соломон за поборо́вих працівникі́в, і так є аж до цього дня.
But of the children of Israel Solomon made no forced laborers, because they were men of war and his servants: his officers, his captains, commanders of his chariots, and his cavalry.
А з Ізраїлевих синів Соломон не дав раба, бо вони — вояки́, і його раби, і провідники́ його́, і старші́ над трьома́, і провідники над його колесни́цями та його верхівці́.
Others were chiefs of the officials who were over Solomon’s work: five hundred and fifty, who ruled over the people who did the work.
Оце приста́влені провідники́, що були над Соломоновою роботою, п'ятдесят і п'ять сотень, що правили наро́дом, який робив на праці.
Тільки фарао́нова дочка́ вийшла з Давидового Міста до свого дому, якого збудував їй; тоді збудував він Мілло́.
Now three times a year Solomon offered burnt offerings and peace offerings on the altar which he had built for the Lord, and he burned incense with them on the altar that was before the Lord. So he finished the temple.
І прино́сив Соломон три ра́зи річно цілопа́лення та мирні жертви на же́ртівнику, що збудував Господе́ві, і кадив на тому, що перед Господнім лицем. І ви́кінчив він той дім.
І цар Соломон нароби́в кораблі́в в Ецйон-Ґевері, що при Елоті на бе́резі Червоного моря в едо́мському кра́ї.
Then Hiram sent his servants with the fleet, seamen who knew the sea, to work with the servants of Solomon.
І послав Хіра́м корабля́ми своїх рабів, морякі́в, що знають море, з рабами Соломоновими.
