Цар Давид і військові командири визначили для Асафа, Емана й Ідітона, які провіщали на гуслах, арфах і цимбалах, їхні обов’язки. Їхня кількість була визначена по осібно, — ті, які були зайняті в їхньому служінні:
сини Асафа: Закхур, Йосиф, Натанія і Ераїл; сини Асафа наступні після пророка Асафа, близько до царя.
