A Song of Confidence in God’s Triumph over Evil

Why do You stand afar off, O Lord?
Why do You hide in times of trouble?

На закінчення. Псалом Давида. Я на Господа покладаю надію. Як же ви можете казати моїй душі: Втікай у гори, як той горобець?

The wicked in his pride [a]persecutes the poor;
Let them be caught in the plots which they have devised.

Ось грішники натягнули тятиву лука, приготовили в сагайдаку стріли, щоб у темряві перестріляти довірливих серцем.

For the wicked boasts of his heart’s desire;
[b]He blesses the greedy and renounces the Lord.

Адже вони зруйнували те, що Ти впорядкував. А що зробив праведний?

The wicked in his proud countenance does not seek God;
[c]God is in none of his thoughts.

Господь у Своєму святому храмі, Господь — Його престол на небі. Його очі споглядають на бідного, Його повіки стежать за людськими синами.

His ways [d]are always prospering;
Your judgments are far above, out of his sight;
As for all his enemies, he sneers at them.

Господь досліджує праведного і безбожника, а той, хто любить неправедність, ненавидить свою душу.

He has said in his heart, “I shall not be moved;
I shall never be in adversity.”

Він, наче дощ, пошле пастки грішникам; вогонь, сірка та нищівний вітер — це частка їхньої долі.

His mouth is full of cursing and deceit and oppression;
Under his tongue is trouble and iniquity.

Бо праведний Господь, Він полюбив праведність, і Його обличчя споглядає праведність.
