A Plea for Relief from Persecutors

A Contemplation[a] of David. A Prayer when he was in the cave.

I cry out to the Lord with my voice;
With my voice to the Lord I make my supplication.

Научна пісня Давидова. Молитва, як був в печері. Голосом моїм взиваю до Господа, голосом моїм до Господа молюся.

I pour out my complaint before Him;
I declare before Him my trouble.

Виллю перед ним жаль мій, виявлю перед ним тїсноту мою.

When my spirit [b]was overwhelmed within me,
Then You knew my path.
In the way in which I walk
They have secretly set a snare for me.

Як дух мій знемігся в мене, то знав ти стежку мою. На дорозї, де ходив я, заставили тайно сїла на мене.

Look on my right hand and see,
For there is no one who acknowledges me;
Refuge has failed me;
No one cares for my soul.

Гляну правобіч мене, та й бачу: нема нїкого, хто б пізнав мене; нема жадного притулку для мене, нїхто не дбає про душу мою.

I cried out to You, O Lord:
I said, “You are my refuge,
My portion in the land of the living.

До тебе взивав я, Господи, кажучи: Ти моє прибіжище, моя доля в країнї живих!

[c]Attend to my cry,
For I am brought very low;
Deliver me from my persecutors,
For they are stronger than I.

Зглянься на поклик мій, бо я вельми знемігся; спаси мене від гонителїв моїх, вони бо надто сильні для мене.

Bring my soul out of prison,
That I may praise Your name;
The righteous shall surround me,
For You shall deal bountifully with me.”

Виведи з темницї душу мою, да прославлю імя твоє! Праведні обступлять мене, коли явиш менї милість твою.
