New King James Version

Darby Bible Translation

  • The King of Glory and His Kingdom

    A Psalm of David.

The earth is the Lord’s, and all its fullness,
The world and those who dwell therein.
  • The Earth is the Lord's

{Of David. A Psalm.} The earth is Jehovah's, and the fulness thereof; the world, and they that dwell therein.
  • For He has founded it upon the seas,
And established it upon the [a]waters.
  • For it was he that founded it upon seas, and established it upon floods.
  • Who may ascend into the hill of the Lord?
Or who may stand in His holy place?
  • Who shall ascend into the mount of Jehovah? and who shall stand in his holy place?
  • He who has clean hands and a pure heart,
Who has not lifted up his soul to an idol,
    Nor sworn deceitfully.
  • He that hath blameless hands and a pure heart; who lifteth not up his soul unto vanity, nor sweareth deceitfully:
  • He shall receive blessing from the Lord,
And righteousness from the God of his salvation.
  • He shall receive blessing from Jehovah, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.
  • This is Jacob, the generation of those who seek Him,
    Who seek Your face. Selah
  • This is the generation of them that seek unto him, that seek thy face, O Jacob. Selah.
  • Lift up your heads, O you gates!
And be lifted up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in.
  • Lift up your heads, ye gates, and be ye lifted up, ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in.
  • Who is this King of glory?
    The Lord strong and mighty,
    The Lord mighty in battle.
  • Who is this King of glory? Jehovah strong and mighty, Jehovah mighty in battle.
  • Lift up your heads, O you gates!
    Lift up, you everlasting doors!
And the King of glory shall come in.
  • Lift up your heads, ye gates; yea, lift up, ye everlasting doors, and the King of glory shall come in.
  • Who is this King of glory?
    The Lord of hosts,
He is the King of glory. Selah
  • Who is he, this King of glory? Jehovah of hosts, he is the King of glory. Selah.
