King James Bible

  • The Lord Helps His Troubled People

    A Psalm of David when he fled from Absalom his son.

    Lord, how they have increased who trouble me!
    Many are they who rise up against me.
  • Deliver Me, O God!

    {A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son.} LORD, how are they increased that trouble me! many are they that rise up against me.
  • Many are they who say of me,
    There is no help for him in God.” Selah
  • Many there be which say of my soul, There is no help for him in God. Selah.
  • But You, O Lord, are a shield [a]for me,
    My glory and the One who lifts up my head.
  • But thou, O LORD, art a shield for me; my glory, and the lifter up of mine head.
  • I cried to the Lord with my voice,
    And He heard me from His holy hill. Selah
  • I cried unto the LORD with my voice, and he heard me out of his holy hill. Selah.
  • I lay down and slept;
    I awoke, for the Lord sustained me.
  • I laid me down and slept; I awaked; for the LORD sustained me.
  • I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people
    Who have set themselves against me all around.
  • I will not be afraid of ten thousands of people, that have set themselves against me round about.
  • Arise, O Lord;
    Save me, O my God!
    For You have struck all my enemies on the cheekbone;
    You have broken the teeth of the ungodly.
  • Arise, O LORD; save me, O my God: for thou hast smitten all mine enemies upon the cheek bone; thou hast broken the teeth of the ungodly.
  • Salvation belongs to the Lord.
    Your blessing is upon Your people. Selah
  • Salvation belongeth unto the LORD: thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.
