The Blessedness of Answered Prayer

A Psalm. A Song at the dedication of the house of David.

I will extol You, O Lord, for You have lifted me up,
And have not let my foes rejoice over me.

O Lord my God, I cried out to You,
And You healed me.

Господи, я покладаю надію на Тебе, тож хай не буду засоромлений навіки. Спаси мене у Своїй праведності й визволи мене.

O Lord, You brought my soul up from the grave;
You have kept me alive, [a]that I should not go down to the pit.

Прихили до мене Своє вухо, поспіши спасти мене. Будь для мене Богом-оборонцем, місцем притулку, щоби спасти мене.

Sing praise to the Lord, you saints of His,
And give thanks at the remembrance of [b]His holy name.

Бо Ти — моя сила і моє пристановище, тож задля Свого Імені Ти поведеш мене й опікуватимешся мною.

For His anger is but for a moment,
His favor is for life;
Weeping may endure for a night,
But [c]joy comes in the morning.

Ти виведеш мене із цієї пастки, яку мені наставили, бо Ти є моїм захисником.

Now in my prosperity I said,
“I shall never be [d]moved.”

У Твої руки передам свій дух. Ти викупив мене, Господи, Боже правди.

Lord, by Your favor You have made my mountain stand strong;
You hid Your face, and I was troubled.

Ти незлюбив тих, які даремно плекають марноту. Я ж надію покладаю на Господа.

I cried out to You, O Lord;
And to the Lord I made supplication:

Я буду радіти й веселитися Твоєю милістю, бо Ти побачив моє приниження і визволив із недолі душу мою;

“What profit is there in my blood,
When I go down to the pit?
Will the dust praise You?
Will it declare Your truth?

Ти не замкнув мене в руках ворога, а поставив мої ноги на просторому місці.

Hear, O Lord, and have mercy on me;
Lord, be my helper!”

Помилуй мене, Господи, бо страждаю. Стривожилися з журби мої очі, моя душа і нутро моє.

You have turned for me my mourning into dancing;
You have put off [e]my sackcloth and clothed me with gladness,

Моє життя проминуло в стражданнях, а мої роки — у стогонах. У біді пропала моя сила, а мої кості стали дрижати.

To the end that my [f]glory may sing praise to You and not be silent.
O Lord my God, I will give thanks to You forever.

Для всіх моїх ворогів я став посміховищем, особливо для моїх сусідів, і страховищем для моїх знайомих: вони, коли бачили мене надворі, втікали від мене геть.
