God the Righteous Judge

A Psalm of Asaph.

The Mighty One, God the Lord,
Has spoken and called the earth
From the rising of the sun to its going down.

1

Асафова псальма. В семогущий Бог, Господь, прорік і кликнув на землю від сходу сонця до його заходу.

2

Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty,
God will shine forth.

2

Із Сиона звершеної красоти засияв Бог.

3

Our God shall come, and shall not keep silent;
A fire shall devour before Him,
And it shall be very tempestuous all around Him.

3

Бог наш прийде, і не буде мовчати; перед ним огонь пожираючий, кругом него сильна буря.

4

He shall call to the heavens from above,
And to the earth, that He may judge His people:

Кличе він небо і землю на суд народу свого:

5

“Gather My saints together to Me,
Those who have [a]made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.”

Зберіть менї праведних моїх, що над жертвою приняли завіт мій.

6

Let the heavens declare His righteousness,
For God Himself is Judge. Selah

І небеса звіщають справедливість його; Бог бо сам суддя,

7

“Hear, O My people, and I will speak,
O Israel, and I will testify against you;
I am God, your God!

Слухай, народе мій, я буду говорити; Ізраїлю, я буду сьвідчити проти тебе! Я Бог, твій Бог!

8

I will not [b]rebuke you for your sacrifices
Or your burnt offerings,
Which are continually before Me.

Не за жертви твої буду тебе докоряти, нї за жертви всепалення; вони все передо мною.

9

I will not take a bull from your house,
Nor goats out of your folds.

9

Не прийму телят із дому твого, козлів із отар твоїх

10

For every beast of the forest is Mine,
And the cattle on a thousand hills.

10

Бо моя вся зьвірина в дібровах, зьвірє на тисяч горах.

11

I know all the birds of the mountains,
And the wild beasts of the field are Mine.

11

Знаю я усе птаство в горах, та й дичина по полях — моя.

12

“If I were hungry, I would not tell you;
For the world is Mine, and all its fullness.

Коли б я зголоднїв, нїчого б казати тобі; бо моя вселенна й достатки її.

13

Will I eat the flesh of bulls,
Or drink the blood of goats?

13

Хиба ж їм я мясо биків, і пю кров козлячу?

14

Offer to God thanksgiving,
And pay your vows to the Most High.

14

Жертвуй Богу хвалу, і віддай Всевишньому обіти твої!

15

Call upon Me in the day of trouble;
I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.”

15

І клич мене в день тїсноти; я визволю тебе, і ти прославиш мене.

16

But to the wicked God says:
“What right have you to declare My statutes,
Or take My covenant in your mouth,

До грішника ж говорить Бог: Чого ти говориш про устави мої, і носиш в устах твоїх завіт мій?

17

Seeing you hate instruction
And cast My words behind you?

17

Ти ж зненавидїв докір, і кинув слова мої позад себе.

18

When you saw a thief, you consented[c] with him,
And have been a partaker with adulterers.

18

Бачив ти злодїя, то й радо приставав до його, і з перелюбниками ти накладав;

19

You give your mouth to evil,
And your tongue frames deceit.

19

Губам твоїм дав ти волю до злого, а язиком твоїм ковав зраду.

20

You sit and speak against your brother;
You slander your own mother’s son.

20

Ти сидїв там і виговорював проти брата твого, ти кидав безчесть на сина матері твоєї.

21

These things you have done, and I kept silent;
You thought that I was altogether like you;
But I will rebuke you,
And set them in order before your eyes.

21

Таке ти творив і я мовчав; ти думав, я рівня тобі. Я покараю тебе, і перед очі твої поставлю гріхи твої.

22

“Now consider this, you who forget God,
Lest I tear you in pieces,
And there be none to deliver:

22

Зрозумійте ж се, ви, що забули Бога, ато зловлю вас, і нїхто не спасе вас.

23

Whoever offers praise glorifies Me;
And to him who orders his conduct aright
I will show the salvation of God.”

23

Хто жертвує хвалу, прославляє мене, і хто справляє дорогу, тому дам побачити спасеннє Боже.
