God the Righteous Judge

A Psalm of Asaph.

The Mighty One, God the Lord,
Has spoken and called the earth
From the rising of the sun to its going down.

1

На закінчення. Псалом Давида,

2

Out of Zion, the perfection of beauty,
God will shine forth.

2

коли до нього прийшов пророк Натан, після того, як він увійшов до Вирсавії.

3

Our God shall come, and shall not keep silent;
A fire shall devour before Him,
And it shall be very tempestuous all around Him.

3

Помилуй мене, Боже, з великої милості Своєї, і через велике Своє милосердя очисти беззаконня моє.

4

He shall call to the heavens from above,
And to the earth, that He may judge His people:

Особливо обмий мене від мого беззаконня і очисти мене від мого гріха.

5

“Gather My saints together to Me,
Those who have [a]made a covenant with Me by sacrifice.”

5

Бо я знаю своє беззаконня, і мій гріх постійно переді мною.

6

Let the heavens declare His righteousness,
For God Himself is Judge. Selah

Проти Тебе єдиного я згрішив і вчинив негідне перед Тобою, щоби Ти виявився праведним у Своїх словах, і переміг, коли судитимешся.

7

“Hear, O My people, and I will speak,
O Israel, and I will testify against you;
I am God, your God!

Я ж народився в беззаконнях, — у гріхах моя мати мене зачала.

8

I will not [b]rebuke you for your sacrifices
Or your burnt offerings,
Which are continually before Me.

Ти ж, однак, полюбив правду й об’явив мені приховані й таємничі глибини Своєї мудрості.

9

I will not take a bull from your house,
Nor goats out of your folds.

9

Покропиш мене гісопом — і я стану чистий. Обмий мене — і я стану біліший за сніг.

10

For every beast of the forest is Mine,
And the cattle on a thousand hills.

10

Ти даси мені відчути радість і втіху — і радітимуть упокорені кості.

11

I know all the birds of the mountains,
And the wild beasts of the field are Mine.

11

Відверни Своє обличчя від моїх гріхів і зітри всі мої беззаконня.

12

“If I were hungry, I would not tell you;
For the world is Mine, and all its fullness.

12

Створи в мені, Боже, чисте серце і віднови праведного духа в моєму нутрі.

13

Will I eat the flesh of bulls,
Or drink the blood of goats?

13

Не відкинь мене від Свого обличчя і не забери від мене Свого Святого Духа.

14

Offer to God thanksgiving,
And pay your vows to the Most High.

14

Поверни мені радість Свого спасіння і зміцни мене Духом могутнім.

15

Call upon Me in the day of trouble;
I will deliver you, and you shall glorify Me.”

15

Я навчатиму беззаконних Твоїх доріг, і безбожні навернуться до Тебе.

16

But to the wicked God says:
“What right have you to declare My statutes,
Or take My covenant in your mouth,

Визволи мене від крові, Боже, Боже мого спасіння. Мій язик радісно проголошуватиме Твою справедливість.

17

Seeing you hate instruction
And cast My words behind you?

Господи, Ти відкриєш мої уста, — і мої уста звістять Тобі хвалу.

18

When you saw a thief, you consented[c] with him,
And have been a partaker with adulterers.

18

Бо якщо би Ти забажав жертви, я приніс би. Та всепалення Тобі не до вподоби.

19

You give your mouth to evil,
And your tongue frames deceit.

19

Жертва Богові — це впокорений дух; Бог не погордує сумирним і впокореним серцем.

20

You sit and speak against your brother;
You slander your own mother’s son.

20

Зроби ж Сіонові добро, Господи, — з Твоєї милості! Хай будуть збудовані мури Єрусалима!

21

These things you have done, and I kept silent;
You thought that I was altogether like you;
But I will rebuke you,
And set them in order before your eyes.

21

Тоді приємною буде Тобі жертва праведності, приношення і всепалення. Тоді приноситимуть на Твій жертовник телят.
