New King James Version

King James Bible

  • Answered Prayer for Deliverance from Adversaries

    To the Chief Musician. With [a]stringed instruments. A [b]Contemplation of David when the Ziphites went and said to Saul, “Is David not hiding with us?”

    Save me, O God, by Your name,
    And vindicate me by Your strength.
  • Vindicate Me in Your Might

    {To the chief Musician on Neginoth, Maschil, A Psalm of David, when the Ziphims came and said to Saul, Doth not David hide himself with us?} Save me, O God, by thy name, and judge me by thy strength.
  • Hear my prayer, O God;
    Give ear to the words of my mouth.
  • Hear my prayer, O God; give ear to the words of my mouth.
  • For strangers have risen up against me,
    And oppressors have sought after my life;
    They have not set God before them. Selah
  • For strangers are risen up against me, and oppressors seek after my soul: they have not set God before them. Selah.
  • Behold, God is my helper;
    The Lord is with those who [c]uphold my life.
  • Behold, God is mine helper: the Lord is with them that uphold my soul.
  • He will repay my enemies for their evil.
    [d]Cut them off in Your [e]truth.
  • He shall reward evil unto mine enemies: cut them off in thy truth.
  • I will freely sacrifice to You;
    I will praise Your name, O Lord, for it is good.
  • I will freely sacrifice unto thee: I will praise thy name, O LORD; for it is good.
  • For He has delivered me out of all trouble;
    And my eye has seen its desire upon my enemies.
  • For he hath delivered me out of all trouble: and mine eye hath seen his desire upon mine enemies.
