New King James Version

Darby Bible Translation

  • Praise to God for His Awesome Works

    To the Chief Musician. A Song. A Psalm.

    Make a joyful shout to God, all the earth!
  • Make a Joyful Shout to God, All the Earth!

    {To the chief Musician. A Song: a Psalm.} Shout aloud unto God, all the earth:
  • Sing out the honor of His name;
    Make His praise glorious.
  • Sing forth the glory of his name, make his praise glorious;
  • Say to God,
    “How awesome are Your works!
    Through the greatness of Your power
    Your enemies shall submit themselves to You.
  • Say unto God, How terrible are thy works! because of the greatness of thy strength, thine enemies come cringing unto thee.
  • All the earth shall worship You
    And sing praises to You;
    They shall sing praises to Your name.” Selah
  • All the earth shall worship thee, and sing psalms unto thee: they shall sing forth thy name. Selah.
  • Come and see the works of God;
    He is awesome in His doing toward the sons of men.
  • Come and see the works of God: he is terrible in [his] doings toward the children of men.
  • He turned the sea into dry land;
    They went through the river on foot.
    There we will rejoice in Him.
  • He turned the sea into dry [land]; they went through the river on foot: there did we rejoice in him.
  • He rules by His power forever;
    His eyes observe the nations;
    Do not let the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah
  • He ruleth by his power for ever; his eyes observe the nations: let not the rebellious exalt themselves. Selah.
  • Oh, bless our God, you peoples!
    And make the voice of His praise to be heard,
  • Bless our God, ye peoples, and make the voice of his praise to be heard;
  • Who keeps our soul among the living,
    And does not allow our feet to [a]be moved.
  • Who hath set our soul in life, and suffereth not our feet to be moved.
  • For You, O God, have tested us;
    You have refined us as silver is refined.
  • For thou, O God, hast proved us: thou hast tried us, as silver is tried.
  • You brought us into the net;
    You laid affliction on our backs.
  • Thou broughtest us into a net, thou didst lay a heavy burden upon our loins;
  • You have caused men to ride over our heads;
    We went through fire and through water;
    But You brought us out to [b]rich fulfillment.
  • Thou didst cause men to ride over our head; we went through fire and through water: but thou hast brought us out into abundance.
  • I will go into Your house with burnt offerings;
    I will pay You my [c]vows,
  • I will go into thy house with burnt-offerings; I will perform my vows to thee,
  • Which my lips have uttered
    And my mouth has spoken when I was in trouble.
  • Which my lips have uttered, and my mouth hath spoken, when I was in trouble.
  • I will offer You burnt sacrifices of fat animals,
    With the sweet aroma of rams;
    I will offer bulls with goats. Selah
  • I will offer up unto thee burnt-offerings of fatted beasts, with the incense of rams; I will offer bullocks with goats. Selah.
  • Come and hear, all you who fear God,
    And I will declare what He has done for my soul.
  • Come, hear, all ye that fear God, and I will declare what he hath done for my soul.
  • I cried to Him with my mouth,
    And He was [d]extolled with my tongue.
  • I called unto him with my mouth, and he was extolled with my tongue.
  • If I regard iniquity in my heart,
    The Lord will not hear.
  • Had I regarded iniquity in my heart, the Lord would not hear.
  • But certainly God has heard me;
    He has attended to the voice of my prayer.
  • But God hath heard; he hath attended to the voice of my prayer.
  • Blessed be God,
    Who has not turned away my prayer,
    Nor His mercy from me!
  • Blessed be God, who hath not turned away my prayer, nor his loving-kindness from me!
