New King James Version

English Standard Version

  • Praise to the Lord for His Love and Faithfulness

    A Psalm. A Song for the Sabbath day.

    It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
    And to sing praises to Your name, O Most High;
  • How Great Are Your Works

    A Psalm. A Song for the Sabbath.

    It is good to give thanks to the Lord,
    to sing praises to your name, O Most High;
  • To declare Your lovingkindness in the morning,
    And Your faithfulness every night,
  • to declare your steadfast love in the morning,
    and your faithfulness by night,
  • On an instrument of ten strings,
    On the lute,
    And on the harp,
    With harmonious sound.
  • to the music of the lute and the harp,
    to the melody of the lyre.
  • For You, Lord, have made me glad through Your work;
    I will triumph in the works of Your hands.
  • For you, O Lord, have made me glad by your work;
    at the works of your hands I sing for joy.
  • O Lord, how great are Your works!
    Your thoughts are very deep.
  • How great are your works, O Lord!
    Your thoughts are very deep!
  • A senseless man does not know,
    Nor does a fool understand this.
  • The stupid man cannot know;
    the fool cannot understand this:
  • When the wicked [a]spring up like grass,
    And when all the workers of iniquity flourish,
    It is that they may be destroyed forever.
  • that though the wicked sprout like grass
    and all evildoers flourish,
    they are doomed to destruction forever;
  • But You, Lord, are on high forevermore.
  • but you, O Lord, are on high forever.
  • For behold, Your enemies, O Lord,
    For behold, Your enemies shall perish;
    All the workers of iniquity shall be scattered.
  • For behold, your enemies, O Lord,
    for behold, your enemies shall perish;
    all evildoers shall be scattered.
  • But my [b]horn You have exalted like a wild ox;
    I have been anointed with fresh oil.
  • But you have exalted my horn like that of the wild ox;
    you have poured over mea fresh oil.
  • My eye also has seen my desire on my enemies;
    My ears hear my desire on the wicked
    Who rise up against me.
  • My eyes have seen the downfall of my enemies;
    my ears have heard the doom of my evil assailants.
  • The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree,
    He shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
  • The righteous flourish like the palm tree
    and grow like a cedar in Lebanon.
  • Those who are planted in the house of the Lord
    Shall flourish in the courts of our God.
  • They are planted in the house of the Lord;
    they flourish in the courts of our God.
  • They shall still bear fruit in old age;
    They shall be [c]fresh and [d]flourishing,
  • They still bear fruit in old age;
    they are ever full of sap and green,
  • To declare that the Lord is upright;
    He is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in Him.
  • to declare that the Lord is upright;
    he is my rock, and there is no unrighteousness in him.
