God Redeems Jerusalem

Awake, awake!
Put on your strength, O Zion;
Put on your beautiful garments,
O Jerusalem, the holy city!
For the uncircumcised and the unclean
Shall no longer come to you.

Збудися, збудись, зодягни́ся, Сіоне, у силу свою, зодягни́ся у шати пишно́ти своєї, о Єрусалиме, о місто святе, бо вже необрі́заний та занечи́щений більше не вві́йде до тебе!

2

Shake yourself from the dust, arise;
Sit down, O Jerusalem!
Loose yourself from the bonds of your neck,
O captive daughter of Zion!

Обтруси́ з себе порох, устань та сіда́й, Єрусалиме! Розв'яжи́ пута шиї своєї, о бра́нко, о до́чко Сіону!

3

For thus says the Lord:
“You have sold yourselves for nothing,
And you shall be redeemed without money.”

Бо Господь каже так: Зада́рмо були ви попро́дані, тому бу́дете ви́куплені не за срі́бло.

4

For thus says the Lord God:
“My people went down at first
Into Egypt to [a]dwell there;
Then the Assyrian oppressed them without cause.

Бо так Господь Бог промовляє: До Єгипту зійшов був наро́д Мій впоча́тку, щоб ме́шкати там, а Ашшу́р за ніщо́ його ти́снув.

5

Now therefore, what have I here,” says the Lord,
“That My people are taken away for nothing?
Those who rule over them
[b]Make them wail,” says the Lord,
“And My name is blasphemed continually every day.

А тепер що Мені тут, — говорить Господь, — коли взятий даре́мно наро́д Мій? Шаліють воло́дарі їхні, — говорить Господь, — і постійно ввесь день Моє Ймення знева́жене.

6

Therefore My people shall know My name;
Therefore they shall know in that day
That I am He who speaks:
‘Behold, it is I.’ ”

Тому́ Моє Йме́ння пізна́є наро́д Мій, тому́ того дня він пізна́є, що Я — то Отой, що говорить: Ось Я!

7

How beautiful upon the mountains
Are the feet of him who brings good news,
Who proclaims peace,
Who brings glad tidings of good things,
Who proclaims salvation,
Who says to Zion,
“Your God reigns!”

Які гарні на го́рах ноги благові́сника, що звіща́є про мир, що добро провіщає, що спасіння звіщає, що говорить Сіонові: „Царю́є твій Бог!“

8

Your watchmen shall lift up their voices,
With their voices they shall sing together;
For they shall see eye to eye
When the Lord brings back Zion.

Слухай, — твої сторожі́ зняли голос, укупі співають, бо бачать вони око-в-о́ко, коли до Сіону Госпо́дь поверта́ється.

9

Break forth into joy, sing together,
You waste places of Jerusalem!
For the Lord has comforted His people,
He has redeemed Jerusalem.

Радійте, співайте сумі́сно, о єрусалимські руїни, бо наро́да Свого Господь звесели́в, — ви́купив Єрусалима!

10

The Lord has [c]made bare His holy arm
In the eyes of all the nations;
And all the ends of the earth shall see
The salvation of our God.

10

Господь обнажи́в на оча́х усіх наро́дів святеє раме́но Своє, — і спасі́ння від нашого Бога побачать всі кі́нці землі!

11

Depart! Depart! Go out from there,
Touch no unclean thing;
Go out from the midst of her,
Be clean,
You who bear the vessels of the Lord.

Уступі́ться, вступі́ться та ви́йдіть ізвідти, нечистого не доторка́йтеся, вийдіть з сере́дини його, очистьтеся ви, що но́сите по́суд Господній!

12

For you shall not go out with haste,
Nor go by flight;
For the Lord will go before you,
And the God of Israel will be your rear guard.

Бо не в по́спіху ви́йдете і не навте́ки ви пі́дете, бо пі́де Господь перед вами, за вами ж — Ізраїлів Бог.

13

The Sin-Bearing Servant

Behold, My Servant shall [d]deal prudently;
He shall be exalted and [e]extolled and be very high.

13

Ось стане розумне роби́ти Мій Слуга, піді́йметься й буде пови́щений, і височе́нним Він стане!

14

Just as many were astonished at you,
So His visage[f] was marred more than any man,
And His form more than the sons of men;

14

Як багато-хто Ним дивува́лись, — такий то був змі́нений о́браз Його, що й не був люди́ною, а ви́гляд Його, що й не був сином лю́дським!

15

So shall He [g]sprinkle many nations.
Kings shall shut their mouths at Him;
For what had not been told them they shall see,
And what they had not heard they shall consider.

Отак Він здиву́є числе́нних наро́дів, царі свої у́ста замкнуть перед Ним, бо побачать, про що не гово́рено їм, і зрозуміють, чого́ не чува́ли вони!
