The Sin-Bearing Messiah

Who has believed our report?
And to whom has the arm of the Lord been revealed?

Господи, хто повірив нашій вістці? І могутня Господня рука кому відкрилася?

For He shall grow up before Him as a tender plant,
And as a root out of dry ground.
He has no [a]form or [b]comeliness;
And when we see Him,
There is no [c]beauty that we should desire Him.

Він зійшов перед ним, як дитина, як корінь у спраглій землі, у ньому немає ні вигляду, ні слави. І ми його побачили, та він не мав ні вигляду, ні краси.

He is despised and [d]rejected by men,
A Man of [e]sorrows and acquainted with [f]grief.
And we hid, as it were, our faces from Him;
He was despised, and we did not esteem Him.

Але його вигляд зневажений, він знесилений понад усіх людей, людина, яка була зранена, і обізнаний терпіти хворобу, бо відвертається його обличчя, він був збезчещений і вважався за ніщо.

Surely He has borne our [g]griefs
And carried our [h]sorrows;
Yet we [i]esteemed Him stricken,
[j]Smitten by God, and afflicted.

Він несе наші гріхи і за нас страждає, а ми вважали, що він у болі і в рані, і в скорботі.

But He was wounded[k] for our transgressions,
He was [l]bruised for our iniquities;
The chastisement for our peace was upon Him,
And by His stripes[m] we are healed.

Він же зранений був через наші беззаконня і терпів хворобу через наші гріхи. На ньому — покарання задля нашого миру, його раною ми зцілилися.

All we like sheep have gone astray;
We have turned, every one, to his own way;
And the Lord [n]has laid on Him the iniquity of us all.

Ми всі заблукали, як вівці, кожний збився зі своєї дороги. І Господь його видав за наші гріхи.

7

He was oppressed and He was afflicted,
Yet He opened not His mouth;
He was led as a lamb to the slaughter,
And as a sheep before its shearers is silent,
So He opened not His mouth.

А він через заподіювання зла не відкриває уст. Як вівця, він був ведений на заріз і, як ягня, без голосу перед тим, хто його стриже, так не відкриває він своїх уст.

He was taken from [o]prison and from judgment,
And who will declare His generation?
For He was cut off from the land of the living;
For the transgressions of My people He was stricken.

У впокоренні взято його суд. Про його рід хто розповість? Адже його життя забирається із землі, — через беззаконня мого народу його повели на смерть.

And [p]they made His grave with the wicked —
But with the rich at His death,
Because He had done no violence,
Nor was any deceit in His mouth.

І дам нечестивих замість його поховання і багатих — замість його смерті, бо він не вчинив беззаконня, і в його устах не знайдено омани.

Yet it pleased the Lord to [q]bruise Him;
He has put Him to grief.
When You make His soul an offering for sin,
He shall see His seed, He shall prolong His days,
And the pleasure of the Lord shall prosper in His hand.

І Господь бажає його очистити від рани. Якщо дасте за гріхи, ваша душа побачить потомство, яке довго житиме. І Господь бажає забрати

[r]He shall see the labor of His soul, and be satisfied.
By His knowledge My righteous Servant shall justify many,
For He shall bear their iniquities.

страждання його душі, показати йому світло і наповнити знанням, оправдати праведного, який служить для добра багатьом, і він понесе їхні гріхи.

Therefore I will divide Him a portion with the great,
And He shall divide the [s]spoil with the strong,
Because He poured out His soul unto death,
And He was numbered with the transgressors,
And He bore the sin of many,
And made intercession for the transgressors.

Через це він успадкує багатьох і розділить здобич сильних, тому що його душа була віддана на смерть, і він був зачислений до беззаконних. А він поніс гріхи багатьох і через їхні гріхи був виданий.
