Salvation for the Gentiles

Thus says the Lord:
“Keep justice, and do righteousness,
For My salvation is about to come,
And My righteousness to be revealed.

Так говорить Господь: Бережіть правосу́ддя й чині́ть справедливість, незаба́ром бо при́йде спасі́ння Моє, і поя́виться пра́ведність Моя.

2

Blessed is the man who does this,
And the son of man who lays hold on it;
Who keeps from defiling the Sabbath,
And keeps his hand from doing any evil.”

Блаженна люди́на, що робить таке́, і син лю́дський, що міцно трима́ється цього, що хоро́нить субо́ту, щоб її не безче́стити, та береже́ свою ру́ку, щоб жодного зла не вчини́ти!

Do not let the son of the foreigner
Who has joined himself to the Lord
Speak, saying,
“The Lord has utterly separated me from His people”;
Nor let the eunuch say,
“Here I am, a dry tree.”

I нехай не пові́сть чужине́ць, який прилучи́вся до Господа, кажучи: „Наспра́вді мене відділи́в від народу Свого Господь“, і скопе́ць хай не скаже: „Таж я сухе дерево!“

For thus says the Lord:
“To the eunuchs who keep My Sabbaths,
And choose what pleases Me,
And hold fast My covenant,

Бо так каже Господь про скопці́в, що суботи Мої бережу́ть, і вибирають завго́дне Мені, і що трима́ються міцно Мого заповіту:

5

Even to them I will give in My house
And within My walls a place and a name
Better than that of sons and daughters;
I will give [a]them an everlasting name
That shall not be cut off.

Я їм дам у Своїм домі та в му́рах Своїх місце і йме́ння, що краще воно за синів та дочо́к, — Я дам йому вічне ім'я́, яке не пони́щиться!

“Also the sons of the foreigner
Who join themselves to the Lord, to serve Him,
And to love the name of the Lord, to be His servants —
Everyone who keeps from defiling the Sabbath,
And holds fast My covenant —

А тих чужинці́в, що пристали до Господа, щоб служити Йому та любити Господнє Ім'я́, щоб бути Йому за рабів, усіх, хто хоро́нить суботу, щоб її не збезче́стити, і тих, що тримаються міцно Мого заповіту, —

Even them I will bring to My holy mountain,
And make them joyful in My house of prayer.
Their burnt offerings and their sacrifices
Will be accepted on My altar;
For My house shall be called a house of prayer for all nations.”

їх спрова́джу на го́ру святую Мою та поті́шу їх в домі молитви Моєї! Цілопа́лення їхні та їхні жертви будуть Мені до вподо́би на Моїм же́ртівнику, бо Мій дім буде на́званий домом молитви для всіх наро́дів!

The Lord God, who gathers the outcasts of Israel, says,
“Yet I will gather to him
Others besides those who are gathered to him.”

Слово Господа Бога, що збирає вигна́нців Ізраїля: Я ще позбира́ю до нього, до його зі́браних!

Israel’s Irresponsible Leaders

All you beasts of the field, come to devour,
All you beasts in the forest.

Польова́ вся звіри́но, прибудьте спожи́ти, тако́ж лісова́ вся звіри́но!

10

His watchmen are blind,
They are all ignorant;
They are all dumb dogs,
They cannot bark;
[b]Sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber.

Його вартівники́ всі сліпі́, не знають нічо́го, всі вони пси німі, які га́вкати не можуть, мрі́йники, ле́жні, що люблять дріма́ти!

Yes, they are greedy[c] dogs
Which never[d] have enough.
And they are shepherds
Who cannot understand;
They all look to their own way,
Every one for his own gain,
From his own territory.

І це пси ненаже́ри, що не знають наси́чення, і це па́стирі ті, що не вміють уважати: усі вони ходять своєю дорогою, кожен з свого кінця́ до своєї здобичі.

“Come,” one says, “I will bring wine,
And we will fill ourselves with intoxicating drink;
Tomorrow will be as today,
And much more abundant.”
