Assurance of Zion’s Salvation

For Zion’s sake I will not [a]hold My peace,
And for Jerusalem’s sake I will not rest,
Until her righteousness goes forth as brightness,
And her salvation as a lamp that burns.

Не вмовкну я ради Сиона, не втихну задля Ерусалиму, аж докіль, як сьвітло, заблисне справедливість його, а спасеннє його — як горючий сьвітильник.

2

The Gentiles shall see your righteousness,
And all kings your glory.
You shall be called by a new name,
Which the mouth of the Lord will name.

І побачять народи справедливість твою й усї царі — славу твою, і дадуть тобі нове імя, яке уста Господнї наречуть.

3

You shall also be a crown of glory
In the hand of the Lord,
And a royal diadem
In the hand of your God.

І будеш, наче корона в руцї в Господа, наче царський вінець — в долонї Бога твого.

4

You shall no longer be termed Forsaken,[b]
Nor shall your land any more be termed Desolate;[c]
But you shall be called [d]Hephzibah, and your land [e]Beulah;
For the Lord delights in you,
And your land shall be married.

Не будуть уже тебе звати покидкою, не будуть звати край твій пустинею, а звати муть тебе: Ласкавість моя на нїй, а країну твою — замужня; Господь бо вподобав тебе, й земля твоя знов подружиться.

5

For as a young man marries a virgin,
So shall your sons marry you;
And as the bridegroom rejoices over the bride,
So shall your God rejoice over you.

Як той молодик дружиться з дївчиною, так сини твої одружаться з тобою; і, як той жених радїє своєю княгинею, так буде Бог твій утїшатись тобою.

6

I have set watchmen on your walls, O Jerusalem;
They shall [f]never hold their peace day or night.
You who [g]make mention of the Lord, do not keep silent,

На мурах твоїх, Ерусалиме, я сторожу поставив, і не вмовкати ме вона нї в день, нї серед ночі. О ви, що пригадуєте Господа, — не вмовкайте! —

7

And give Him no rest till He establishes
And till He makes Jerusalem a praise in the earth.

Не вмовкайте перед ним, аж покіль не відновить він Ерусалима та поки не зробить його славним на землї.

8

The Lord has sworn by His right hand
And by the arm of His strength:
“Surely I will no longer give your grain
As food for your enemies;
And the sons of the foreigner shall not drink your new wine,
For which you have labored.

Поклявсь Господь правицею своєю і кріпкою рукою своєю: Не дам уже більше зерна твого супостатам твоїм у їжу, не буде вже більш чужениця вина твого пити, що ти його порав; а той,

9

But those who have gathered it shall eat it,
And praise the Lord;
Those who have brought it together shall drink it in My holy courts.”

Хто жне його, їсти ме його, вихваляючи Бога, й хто виноград порав, той і вино буде пити в сьвятому дворі його.

10

Go through,
Go through the gates!
Prepare the way for the people;
Build up,
Build up the highway!
Take out the stones,
Lift up a banner for the peoples!

Ійдїте ж, ходїте в ворота й дорогу народові рівняйте! Рівняйте, рівняйте дорогу, геть усе каміннє з дороги счисчайте, виставте знамено народам!

Indeed the Lord has proclaimed
To the end of the world:
“Say to the daughter of Zion,
‘Surely your salvation is coming;
Behold, His reward is with Him,
And His [h]work before Him.’ ”

Се, обявляє Господь з краю до краю землї: Скажіте дочцї Сионовій: ось ійде твій спаситель; із ним його заплата й нагорода його перед ним.

12

And they shall call them The Holy People,
The Redeemed of the Lord;
And you shall be called Sought Out,
A City Not Forsaken.

І назвуть їх народом сьвятим, одкупленим від Господа, а тебе називати муть містом пошукованим, а не опущеним.
