The hand of the Lord came upon me and brought me out in the Spirit of the Lord, and set me down in the midst of the valley; and it was full of bones.

Була́ надо мною Господня рука, і Дух Госпо́дній ви́провадив мене, і спинив мене серед долини, а вона — повна кісто́к!
Then He caused me to pass by them all around, and behold, there were very many in the open valley; and indeed they were very dry.
І Він обвів мене біля них навко́ло, аж ось їх дуже багато на пове́рхні долини, і ось вони стали дуже сухі!
And He said to me, “Son of man, can these bones live?”
So I answered, “O Lord God, You know.”
So I answered, “O Lord God, You know.”
І сказав Він мені: „Сину лю́дський, чи оживу́ть оці ко́сті?“ А я відказав: „Господи Боже, — Ти знаєш!“
Again He said to me, “Prophesy to these bones, and say to them, ‘O dry bones, hear the word of the Lord!
І сказав Він мені: „Пророку́й про ці кості, та й скажеш до них: Сухі ко́сті, послухайте слова Господнього!
Thus says the Lord God to these bones: “Surely I will cause breath to enter into you, and you shall live.
Так говорить Господь Бог до цих кісто́к: Ось Я введу́ у вас духа — і ви оживе́те!
I will put sinews on you and bring flesh upon you, cover you with skin and put breath in you; and you shall live. Then you shall know that I am the Lord.” ’ ”
І дам на вас жи́ли, і ви́росте на вас тіло, і простягну́ на вас шкіру, і дам у вас духа, — і ви оживе́те. І пізна́єте ви, що Я — Госпо́дь!“
So I prophesied as I was commanded; and as I prophesied, there was a noise, and suddenly a rattling; and the bones came together, bone to bone.
І пророкував я, як наказано. І зня́вся шум, коли я пророкува́в, і ось гу́ркіт, а ко́сті зближа́лися, кістка до кістки своєї.
Indeed, as I looked, the sinews and the flesh came upon them, and the skin covered them over; but there was no breath in them.
І побачив я, аж ось на них жи́ли, і виросло тіло, і була натя́гнена на них шкіра зве́рху, та духа не було в них.
І сказав Він мені: „Пророкуй до духа, пророкуй, сину лю́дський, та й скажеш до духа: Так говорить Господь Бог: Прилинь, духу, з чотирьох вітрі́в, і дихни́ на цих забитих, — і нехай оживу́ть!“
І я пророкував, як Він наказав був мені, — і ввійшов у них дух, і вони ожили́, і постава́ли на ноги свої, — ві́йсько дуже-дуже велике!
Then He said to me, “Son of man, these bones are the whole house of Israel. They indeed say, ‘Our bones are dry, our hope is lost, and we ourselves are cut off!’
І сказав Він мені: „Сину лю́дський, ці кості — вони ввесь Ізраїлів дім. Ось вони кажуть: Повисиха́ли наші кості, і заги́нула наша надія, нам кіне́ць!
Therefore prophesy and say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Behold, O My people, I will open your graves and cause you to come up from your graves, and bring you into the land of Israel.
Тому́ пророкуй та й скажеш до них: Так говорить Господь Бог: Ось Я повідчиня́ю ваші гроби́, і позво́джу вас із ваших гробі́в, мій наро́де, і введу́ вас до Ізраїлевої землі!
Then you shall know that I am the Lord, when I have opened your graves, O My people, and brought you up from your graves.
І пізнаєте ви, що Я Госпо́дь, коли Я повідчиня́ю ваші гроби́, і коли позво́джу вас із ваших гробі́в, Мій наро́де!
I will put My Spirit in you, and you shall live, and I will place you in your own land. Then you shall know that I, the Lord, have spoken it and performed it,” says the Lord.’ ”
І дам Я в вас Свого Духа, — і ви оживе́те, і вміщу́ вас на вашій землі, і пізна́єте ви, що Я, Госпо́дь, сказав це й зробив, говорить Госпо́дь!“
One Kingdom, One King
Again the word of the Lord came to me, saying,

І було́ мені слово Господнє таке:
“As for you, son of man, take a stick for yourself and write on it: ‘For Judah and for the children of Israel, his companions.’ Then take another stick and write on it, ‘For Joseph, the stick of Ephraim, and for all the house of Israel, his companions.’
„А ти, сину лю́дський, візьми́ собі один кусок де́рева, і напиши на ньому: „Юді та синам Ізраїля, його дру́зям“. І візьми ще один кусок дерева, і напиши на ньому: „Йо́сипові дерево Єфрема та всьому домові Ізраїля, дру́зям його“.
Then join them one to another for yourself into one stick, and they will become one in your hand.
І зблизь їх собі одне до о́дного на один кусок дерева, — і вони стануть за одне́ в твоїй руці!
“And when the children of your people speak to you, saying, ‘Will you not show us what you mean by these?’ —
І як скажуть до тебе сини твого наро́ду, говорячи: Чи не оголо́сиш нам, що́ це в те́бе таке?
say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Surely I will take the stick of Joseph, which is in the hand of Ephraim, and the tribes of Israel, his companions; and I will join them with it, with the stick of Judah, and make them one stick, and they will be one in My hand.” ’
то скажи їм: Так говорить Госпо́дь Бог: Ось Я візьму́ дерево Йо́сипа, що в Єфремовій руці, та племе́на Ізраїлеві, його дру́зів, і дам на нього дерево Юди, і вчиню́ їх за одне дерево, — і стануть вони одним у Моїй руці!
And the sticks on which you write will be in your hand before their eyes.
І будуть ці дере́ва, що напишеш на них, у руці твоїй на їхніх оча́х.
“Then say to them, ‘Thus says the Lord God: “Surely I will take the children of Israel from among the nations, wherever they have gone, and will gather them from every side and bring them into their own land;
І скажи до них: Так говорить Госпо́дь Бог: Ось Я візьму́ Ізраїлевих синів з-посеред наро́дів, куди вони пішли, і позбира́ю їх знавко́ла, і введу́ їх до їхньої землі.
and I will make them one nation in the land, on the mountains of Israel; and one king shall be king over them all; they shall no longer be two nations, nor shall they ever be divided into two kingdoms again.
І зроблю́ їх за один наро́д у краї на Ізраїлевих гора́х, і бу́де для всіх них один цар за царя, і не бу́дуть уже двома́ наро́дами, і не бу́дуть уже більш поді́лені на двоє царств.
They shall not defile themselves anymore with their idols, nor with their detestable things, nor with any of their transgressions; but I will deliver them from all their dwelling places in which they have sinned, and will cleanse them. Then they shall be My people, and I will be their God.
І більш не будуть вони занечи́щуватися своїми бовва́нами й гидо́тами своїми та всіма́ своїми пере́ступами, спасу́ їх зо всіх їхніх осе́ль, де вони гріши́ли, й очи́щу їх. І будуть вони мені наро́дом, а Я буду їм Богом!
“David My servant shall be king over them, and they shall all have one shepherd; they shall also walk in My judgments and observe My statutes, and do them.
А раб Мій Давид буде царем над ними, і один па́стир буде для всіх них, і постановами Моїми вони будуть ходити, а устави Мої будуть стерегти́ й вико́нувати їх.
Then they shall dwell in the land that I have given to Jacob My servant, where your fathers dwelt; and they shall dwell there, they, their children, and their children’s children, forever; and My servant David shall be their prince forever.
І ося́дуть вони на тій землі, яку Я дав був Моєму рабові Яковові, що сиділи на ній їхні батьки́, і ося́дуть на ній вони та їхні сини, та сини синів їхніх аж навіки, а Мій раб Давид буде їм кня́зем навіки!
І складу́ з ними заповіта миру, — це буде вічний запові́т із ними. І зміцню́ їх, і намно́жу їх, і дам Свою святиню серед них на віки!
My tabernacle also shall be with them; indeed I will be their God, and they shall be My people.
І буде місце Мого пробува́ння над ними, і Я буду їм Богом, а вони Мені бу́дуть наро́дом.
