    Vision of the High Priest

    Then he showed me Joshua the high priest standing before the Angel of the Lord, and Satan[a] standing at his right hand to oppose him.

    І показав мені первосьвященника Ісуса, що стояв перед ангелом Господнім, та й сатану, що стояв праворуч його, щоб його винуватити.

    And the Lord said to Satan, “The Lord rebuke you, Satan! The Lord who has chosen Jerusalem rebuke you! Is this not a brand plucked from the fire?”

    І сказав Господь (через ангела) до сатани: Нехай загрозить тебе, сатано, Господь, нехай загрозить Господь, вибравший собі Ерусалим! Хиба він не головня, вихоплена з огню?

    Now Joshua was clothed with filthy garments, and was standing before the Angel.

    Ісус же був у замазаній одежі, стоючи перед ангелом.

    Then He answered and spoke to those who stood before Him, saying, “Take away the filthy garments from him.” And to him He said, “See, I have removed your iniquity from you, and I will clothe you with rich robes.”

    І озвався сей і сказав до инших (ангелів), що стояли перед ним: Поздіймайте з його замазану одїж! а йому сказав: Дивись, я зняв із тебе неправедність твою, й вдягаю тебе в одїж сьвяточну.

    And I said, “Let them put a clean turban on his head.”
    So they put a clean turban on his head, and they put the clothes on him. And the Angel of the Lord stood by.

    І говорив далїй: Вложіть йому на голову чистий кидар, і вложили йому на голову чистий кидар, і наділи ризи на його; ангел же Господень стояв.

    The Coming Branch

    Then the Angel of the Lord admonished Joshua, saying,

    І заповів ангел Господень Ісусові і сказав:

    “Thus says the Lord of hosts:
    ‘If you will walk in My ways,
    And if you will keep My command,
    Then you shall also judge My house,
    And likewise have charge of My courts;
    I will give you places to walk
    Among these who stand here.

    Так говорить Господь сил небесних : Як ходити меш дорогами моїми й будеш пильнувати сторожі моєї, то будеш судити дом мій й наглядати над моїми дворами. І дам тобі в підмогу з тих, що стоять оттут.

    ‘Hear, O Joshua, the high priest,
    You and your companions who sit before you,
    For they are a[b] wondrous sign;
    For behold, I am bringing forth My Servant the BRANCH.

    Слухай же вважно, ти первосьвященниче Ісусе, ти й товаришу твої, щозасїдають перед тобою, — сї мужі знаменні: Ось, я приведу слугу мого, Пагонця.

    For behold, the stone
    That I have laid before Joshua:
    Upon the stone are seven eyes.
    Behold, I will engrave its inscription,’
    Says the Lord of hosts,
    ‘And I will remove the iniquity of that land in one day.

    А ось, і камінь, що кладу перед Ісусом; на сьому каменї семеро очей; і виріжу на йому начерки його, говорить Господь сил небесних, і зітру гріх землї сієї одного дня.

    In that day,’ says the Lord of hosts,
    ‘Everyone will invite his neighbor
    Under his vine and under his fig tree.’ ”

    Того часу, говорить Господь сил небесних, буде одно одного закликати під виноград і фиговину.
