The Appointed Boundaries of Canaan
Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
Then the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
І Господь промовляв до Мойсея, говорячи:
“Command the children of Israel, and say to them: ‘When you come into the land of Canaan, this is the land that shall fall to you as an inheritance — the land of Canaan to its boundaries.
„Накажи Ізраїлевим синам та й скажи їм: Коли ви вві́йдете до ханаанського кра́ю, — це буде той край, що припаде́ вам у спа́дщині, ханаанський край по границях його.
Your southern border shall be from the Wilderness of Zin along the border of Edom; then your southern border shall extend eastward to the end of the Salt Sea;
І буде вам півде́нна сторона́ від пустині Цін при Едомі, і буде вам південна границя від кінця Солоного моря на схід.
your border shall turn from the southern side of the Ascent of Akrabbim, continue to Zin, and be on the south of Kadesh Barnea; then it shall go on to Hazar Addar, and continue to Azmon;
І скерується вам та границя з полу́дня до Маале-Акраббіму, і пере́йде до Ціну, і будуть ви́ходи її з полу́дня до Кадеш-Барнеа. І ви́йде вона до Хацар-Аддару й пере́йде до Ацмону.
the border shall turn from Azmon to the Brook of Egypt, and it shall end at the Sea.
І скерується границя з Ацмону до єгипетського пото́ку, і будуть її ви́ходи до моря.
‘As for the western border, you shall have the Great Sea for a border; this shall be your western border.
А границя за́хідня, — буде для вас море Велике, це буде для вас за́хідня границя.
‘And this shall be your northern border: From the Great Sea you shall mark out your border line to Mount Hor;
А оце буде для вас півні́чна границя: від Великого моря ви́значите собі за границю Гор-го́ру.
from Mount Hor you shall mark out your border to the entrance of Hamath; then the direction of the border shall be toward Zedad;
Від Гор-гори визначите в на́прямі до Гамату, і будуть ви́ходи границі до Цедаду.
the border shall proceed to Ziphron, and it shall end at Hazar Enan. This shall be your northern border.
І вийде границя до Зіфрону, і будуть її ви́ходи до Гацар-Енану. Це буде вам північна границя.
‘You shall mark out your eastern border from Hazar Enan to Shepham;
І визначите собі за границю на схід — від Гацар-Енану до Шефаму.
І зі́йде границя від Шефаму до Рівли, на схід Аіну. І зі́йде границя, і ді́йде на беріг Кінеретського моря на схід.
the border shall go down along the Jordan, and it shall end at the Salt Sea. This shall be your land with its surrounding boundaries.’ ”
І зі́йде границя до Йорда́ну, і будуть її ви́ходи — море Солоне. Це буде для вас край по його границях навко́ло“.
Then Moses commanded the children of Israel, saying: “This is the land which you shall inherit by lot, which the Lord has commanded to give to the nine tribes and to the half-tribe.
I Мойсей наказав Ізраїлевим синам, говорячи: „Оце та земля, що ви поділите собі її жеребко́м, що Господь наказав дати дев'яти племена́м і половині племені.
For the tribe of the children of Reuben according to the house of their fathers, and the tribe of the children of Gad according to the house of their fathers, have received their inheritance; and the half-tribe of Manasseh has received its inheritance.
Бо взяли́ пле́м'я Рувимових синів за дома́ми батьків своїх, і пле́м'я Ґадових синів за домами батьків своїх, і половина пле́мени Манасіїного взяли́ спа́дщину свою,
The two tribes and the half-tribe have received their inheritance on this side of the Jordan, across from Jericho eastward, toward the sunrise.”
два пле́мені й половина племени взяли вже свою спа́дщину з того боку приєрихо́нського Йорда́ну на схід та на пі́вдень.“
The Leaders Appointed to Divide the Land
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
And the Lord spoke to Moses, saying,
І Господь промовляв до Мойсея, говорячи:
“These are the names of the men who shall divide the land among you as an inheritance: Eleazar the priest and Joshua the son of Nun.
„Оце імена́ тих мужів, що поділять для вас той край на спа́док: священик Елеазар та Ісус, син Навинів,
And you shall take one leader of every tribe to divide the land for the inheritance.
та ві́зьмете по одно́му князеві з племени, щоб поділити той край на власність.
These are the names of the men: from the tribe of Judah, Caleb the son of Jephunneh;
А оце ймення тих мужів: для Юдиного племени — Калев, син Єфуннеїв;
from the tribe of the children of Simeon, Shemuel the son of Ammihud;
а для племени Симео́нових синів — Шемуїл, син Аммігудів;
from the tribe of Benjamin, Elidad the son of Chislon;
а для племени Веніями́нового — Елідад, син Кіслонів;
a leader from the tribe of the children of Dan, Bukki the son of Jogli;
для племени Да́нових синів — князь Буккі, син Йоґліїв.
from the sons of Joseph: a leader from the tribe of the children of Manasseh, Hanniel the son of Ephod,
для Йо́сипових синів, для племени синів Манасіїних — князь Ханніїл, син Ефодів;
and a leader from the tribe of the children of Ephraim, Kemuel the son of Shiphtan;
а для племени Єфре́мових синів — князь Кемуїл, син Шіфтанів;
a leader from the tribe of the children of Zebulun, Elizaphan the son of Parnach;
а для племени Завуло́нових синів — князь Еліцафан, син Парнахів;
a leader from the tribe of the children of Issachar, Paltiel the son of Azzan;
а для племени Іссаха́рових синів — князь Палтіїл, син Аззана;
a leader from the tribe of the children of Asher, Ahihud the son of Shelomi;
а для племени Аси́рових синів — князь Ахігуд, син Шеломіїв;
and a leader from the tribe of the children of Naphtali, Pedahel the son of Ammihud.”
а для племени синів Нефтали́мових — князь Педаїл, син Аммігудів.
