Be Anxious for Nothing; Think These Thoughts

Therefore, my beloved and longed-for brethren, my joy and crown, so stand fast in the Lord, beloved.

Отож, мої браття улю́блені, за якими так сильно тужу́, моя радосте й ві́нче, — так у Господі стійте, улю́блені!

Be United, Joyful, and in Prayer

I implore Euodia and I implore Syntyche to be of the same mind in the Lord.

Благаю Ево́дію, благаю й Синти́хію — ду́мати однаково в Господі.

[a]And I urge you also, true companion, help these women who labored with me in the gospel, with Clement also, and the rest of my fellow workers, whose names are in the Book of Life.

Так, благаю й тебе, това́ришу вірний, допомагай тим, хто в боротьбі за Єва́нгелію помагали мені та Кли́ментові й іншим моїм співробі́тникам, яких іме́ння записані в Книзі Життя.

Rejoice in the Lord always. Again I will say, rejoice!

Радійте в Господі за́всіди, і зно́ву кажу́: раді́йте!

Let your [b]gentleness be known to all men. The Lord is at hand.

Ваша ла́гідність хай буде відо́ма всім лю́дям. Господь близько!

Be anxious for nothing, but in everything by prayer and supplication, with thanksgiving, let your requests be made known to God;

Ні про що не турбуйтесь, а в усьо́му нехай виявля́ються Богові ваші бажа́ння молитвою й проха́нням з подякою.

and the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and minds through Christ Jesus.

І мир Божий, що вищий від усякого розуму, хай береже серця ваші та ваші думки́ у Христі Ісусі.

Meditate on These Things

Finally, brethren, whatever things are true, whatever things are noble, whatever things are just, whatever things are pure, whatever things are lovely, whatever things are of good report, if there is any virtue and if there is anything praiseworthy — meditate on these things.

Наоста́нку, браття, що́ тільки правдиве, що́ тільки чесне, що тільки праведне, що́ тільки чисте, що тільки любе, що́ тільки гі́дне хвали́, коли яка чесно́та, коли яка похвала́, — ду́майте про це!

The things which you learned and received and heard and saw in me, these do, and the God of peace will be with you.

Чого ви від мене й навчилися, і прийняли́, і чули та бачили, — робіть те ! І Бог миру буде з вами!

Philippian Generosity

But I rejoiced in the Lord greatly that now at last your[c] care for me has flourished again; though you surely did care, but you lacked opportunity.

Я ве́льми потішився в Господі, що справді ви вже нови́х сил набули́ піклува́тись про мене; ви й давніш піклува́лись, та ча́су сприя́тливого ви не мали.

Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content:

Не за нестатком кажу́, бо навчився я бути задово́леним із то́го, що маю.

I know how to [d]be abased, and I know how to [e]abound. Everywhere and in all things I have learned both to be full and to be hungry, both to abound and to suffer need.

Умію я й бути в упоко́ренні, умію бути й у достатку. Я привчився до всьо́го й у всім: насища́тися й голод терпіти, мати достаток і бути в недостачі.

I can do all things through [f]Christ who strengthens me.

Я все мо́жу в Тім, Хто мене підкріпляє, — в Ісусі Христі.

Nevertheless you have done well that you shared in my distress.

Тож ви добре зробили, що участь узяли́ в моїм горі.

Now you Philippians know also that in the beginning of the gospel, when I departed from Macedonia, no church shared with me concerning giving and receiving but you only.

І знаєте й ви, филип'я́ни, що на поча́тку благові́стя, коли я з Македонії вийшов, не прилучилась була́ жо́дна Церква до справи дава́ння й прийма́ння для мене, самі тільки ви,

For even in Thessalonica you sent aid once and again for my necessities.

що і раз, і вдруге мені на потреби мої посилали й до Солу́ня.

Not that I seek the gift, but I seek the fruit that abounds to your account.

Кажу́ це не тому́, щоб шукав я дава́ння, — я шукаю плоду, що примно́жується на річ вашу.

Indeed I [g]have all and abound. I am full, having received from Epaphroditus the things sent from you, a sweet-smelling aroma, an acceptable sacrifice, well pleasing to God.

Та все я одержав, і маю достаток. Маю повно, прийнявши від Епафроди́та, що́ ви послали, як па́хощі запашні́, жертву приємну, Богові вгодну.

And my God shall supply all your need according to His riches in glory by Christ Jesus.

А мій Бог нехай ви́повнить вашу всяку потребу за Своїм багатством у Славі, у Христі Ісусі.

20

Now to our God and Father be glory forever and ever. Amen.

А Богові й нашому Отцеві слава на віки віків. Амі́нь.
