The Seven Bowls

Then I heard a loud voice from the temple saying to the seven angels, “Go and pour out the [a]bowls of the wrath of God on the earth.”

І я почув гучний голос із храму, що казав до семи анголів: „Ідіть, і вилийте на землю сім чаш гніву Божого!“

First Bowl: Loathsome Sores

So the first went and poured out his bowl upon the earth, and a [b]foul and loathsome sore came upon the men who had the mark of the beast and those who worshiped his image.

I пішов перший ангол, і вилив на землю чашу свою. І шкідливі та люті болячки обсіли людей, хто мав знаме́но звіри́ни й вклонявсь її о́бразу.

Second Bowl: The Sea Turns to Blood

Then the second angel poured out his bowl on the sea, and it became blood as of a dead man; and every living creature in the sea died.

А другий ангол вилив свою чашу до моря. І сталася кров, немов у мерця́, — і кожна істота жива вмерла в морі.

Third Bowl: The Waters Turn to Blood

Then the third angel poured out his bowl on the rivers and springs of water, and they became blood.

Третій же ангол вилив чашу свою на річки́ та на водні джере́ла, — і сталася кров.

And I heard the angel of the waters saying:
“You are righteous, [c]O Lord,
The One who is and who [d]was and who is to be,
Because You have judged these things.

І почув я ангола вод, який говорив: „Ти праведний, що Ти є й що Ти був, і святий, що Ти це присудив!

6

For they have shed the blood of saints and prophets,
And You have given them blood to drink.
[e]For it is their just due.”

Бо вони пролили́ кров святих та пророків, — і Ти дав їм напитися крови. Вони варті того!“

7

And I heard [f]another from the altar saying, “Even so, Lord God Almighty, true and righteous are Your judgments.”

І я чув, як же́ртівник говорив: „Так, Господи, Боже Вседержи́телю! Правдиві й справедливі суди Твої!“

Fourth Bowl: Men Are Scorched

Then the fourth angel poured out his bowl on the sun, and power was given to him to scorch men with fire.

8

А ангол четвертий вилив свою чашу на сонце. І да́но йому палити людей огнем.

9

And men were scorched with great heat, and they blasphemed the name of God who has power over these plagues; and they did not repent and give Him glory.

9

І спека велика палила людей, і зневажа́ли вони Ім'я Бога, що має вла́ду над карами тими, — і вони не покаялися, щоб славу віддати Йому́.

10

Fifth Bowl: Darkness and Pain

Then the fifth angel poured out his bowl on the throne of the beast, and his kingdom became full of darkness; and they gnawed their tongues because of the pain.

А п'ятий ангол вилив чашу свою на престола звіри́ни. І затьми́лося царство її, і люди від болю кусали свої язики́,

11

They blasphemed the God of heaven because of their pains and their sores, and did not repent of their deeds.

і Бога Небесного вони зневажа́ли від болю свого й від своїх болячо́к, — та в учинках своїх не пока́ялись!

12

Sixth Bowl: Euphrates Dried Up

Then the sixth angel poured out his bowl on the great river Euphrates, and its water was dried up, so that the way of the kings from the east might be prepared.

Шостий же ангол вилив чашу свою на річку велику Ефра́т, — і вода її висохла, щоб пригото́вити дорогу царям, які від схід сонця.

13

And I saw three unclean spirits like frogs coming out of the mouth of the dragon, out of the mouth of the beast, and out of the mouth of the false prophet.

І я бачив, що вихо́дили з уст змі́я, і з уст звіри́ни, і з уст неправдивого пророка три ду́хи нечисті, як жа́би, —

14

For they are spirits of demons, performing signs, which go out to the kings [g]of the earth and of the whole world, to gather them to the battle of that great day of God Almighty.

це духи де́монські, що чинять озна́ки. Вони виходять до царів усього світу, щоб зібрати їх на війну того великого дня Вседержителя Бога.

15

“Behold, I am coming as a thief. Blessed is he who watches, and keeps his garments, lest he walk naked and they see his shame.”

15

Ось іду, немов злодій! Блаженний, хто чуйни́й, і одежу свою береже, щоб наги́м не ходити, і щоб не бачили га́ньби його!

16

And they gathered them together to the place called in Hebrew, [h]Armageddon.

16

І зібрав їх на місце, яке по-єврейському зветься Армагеддо́н.

17

Seventh Bowl: The Earth Utterly Shaken

Then the seventh angel poured out his bowl into the air, and a loud voice came out of the temple of heaven, from the throne, saying, “It is done!”

17

Сьомий же ангол вилив чашу свою на повітря. І голос гучни́й залунав від небесного храму з престолу, говорячи: „Сталося!“

18

And there were noises and thunderings and lightnings; and there was a great earthquake, such a mighty and great earthquake as had not occurred since men were on the earth.

I сталися бли́скавки й гу́ркіт та гро́ми, і сталось велике трясі́ння землі, якого не було́, відко́ли люди́на живе на землі. Великий такий землетру́с, такий міцний!

19

Now the great city was divided into three parts, and the cities of the nations fell. And great Babylon was remembered before God, to give her the cup of the wine of the fierceness of His wrath.

І місто велике розпа́лося на три частині, і попадали лю́дські міста́. І великий Вавилон був згаданий перед Богом, щоб дати йому чашу вина Його лютого гніву.

20

Then every island fled away, and the mountains were not found.

20

І зник кожен о́стрів, і не зна́йдено гір!

21

And great hail from heaven fell upon men, each hailstone about the weight of a talent. Men blasphemed God because of the plague of the hail, since that plague was exceedingly great.

21

І великий град, як важкі тягарі́, падав із неба на людей. І люди зневажали Бога за покара́ння градом, — бо кара Його була дуже велика!
