“How could you do this to us?” Abimelech exclaimed. “One of my people might easily have taken your wife and slept with her, and you would have made us guilty of great sin.”

And Abimelech said, What is this thou hast done unto us? one of the people might lightly have lien with thy wife, and thou shouldest have brought guiltiness upon us.

And Abimelech said, “What is this you have done to us? One of the people might soon have lain with your wife, and you would have brought guilt on us.”

На це каже Авімелех: "Що ти нам вдіяв? Хтонебудь з моїх людей міг був легко побути з твоєю жінкою і ти був би навів на нас гріх."

Каже ж Абимелех: Що се вдїяв єси нам? Мало що не побув хто з мого народу з жінкою твоєю, то й навів би єси на нас незнаний гріх. -
І сказав Авімелех: „Що́ ж то нам учинив ти? Один із народу був мало не ліг із твоєю жінкою, — і ти гріх би спровадив на нас!“

Тогда Авимелех сказал:
— Что же ты сделал с нами? Один из мужчин мог лечь с твоей женой, и ты навлек бы на нас вину. -
Авімелех же сказав йому: Що ж це ти нам учинив? Мало що не спав хтось з мого роду з твоєю дружиною — і довів би ти нас до переступу.
