Then the two men crawled out of the well and hurried on to King David. “Quick!” they told him, “cross the Jordan tonight!” And they told him how Ahithophel had advised that he be captured and killed.

And it came to pass, after they were departed, that they came up out of the well, and went and told king David, and said unto David, Arise, and pass quickly over the water: for thus hath Ahithophel counselled against you.

Now it came to pass, after they had departed, that they came up out of the well and went and told King David, and said to David, “Arise and cross over the water quickly. For thus has Ahithophel advised against you.”

Як же вони одійшли геть, повилазили ті з колодязя, махнули далїй та й принесли цареві Давидові звістку, й сказали Давидові: Переброджуйте борше воду, бо так і так порадив про вас Ахитофел. -
І сталося по їхньому відхо́ді, вони вийшли з колодязя, і пішли та доне́сли Давидові. І сказали вони до Давида: „Уставайте, і перехо́дьте швидко во́ду, бо отак радив на вас Ахітофел“.

После того как они ушли, те двое вылезли из колодца и пошли известить царя Давида. Они сказали ему:
— Немедленно трогайся в путь и переходи реку; Ахитофел советовал против тебя так-то и так-то. -
Сталося ж, коли вони пішли, то юнаки вилізли з криниці, пішли і сповістили царю Давидові, говорячи до Давида: Підіймайтеся і швидко перейдіть воду, бо так і так порадив про вас Ахітофел!
