Solomon replied, “You showed great and faithful love to your servant my father, David, because he was honest and true and faithful to you. And you have continued to show this great and faithful love to him today by giving him a son to sit on his throne.

Solomon's Prayer for Wisdom
And Solomon said, Thou hast shewed unto thy servant David my father great mercy, according as he walked before thee in truth, and in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with thee; and thou hast kept for him this great kindness, that thou hast given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day. -
And Solomon said: “You have shown great mercy to Your servant David my father, because he walked before You in truth, in righteousness, and in uprightness of heart with You; You have continued this great kindness for him, and You have given him a son to sit on his throne, as it is this day.

И сказал Соломон: Ты сделал рабу Твоему Давиду, отцу моему, великую милость; и за то, что он ходил пред Тобою в истине и правде и с искренним сердцем пред Тобою, Ты сохранил ему эту великую милость и даровал ему сына, который сидел бы на престоле его, как это и есть ныне;

Соломон відповів: «Ти зробив твоєму рабові, моєму батькові Давидові, велику ласку за те, що він ходив перед тобою по щирості, по справедливості й правотою серця. Ти зберіг йому цю велику ласку й дарував йому сина, щоб сидів на його престолі, як воно і є нині.

А Соломон відказав: „Ти зробив був велику милість із рабом Своїм Давидом, батьком моїм, як він ходив перед лицем Твоїм правдою та праведністю, та простото́ю серця з Тобою. І зберіг Ти йому ту велику милість, і дав йому сина, що сидить на його троні, як є й цього дня.

— Ты явил Твоему слуге, моему отцу Давиду, великую милость, так как он был верен Тебе, праведен и прям сердцем. Ты сохранил эту великую милость и даровал ему сына, чтобы тот сегодня сел на его престол. -
А Соломон сказав: Ти вчинив велике милосердя з Твоїм рабом Давидом, моїм батьком, оскільки прожив перед Тобою в правді, у справедливості й в простоті серця з Тобою, і Ти зберіг йому це велике милосердя, щоб дати його сина на його престолі до цього дня.
