    continually seek him.
  • Seek the LORD and His strength;
    Seek His face continually.

his miracles, and the rulings he has given,
  • Remember His wonderful deeds which He has done,
His marvels and the judgments from His mouth,
  • you children of his servant Israel,
you descendants of Jacob, his chosen ones.
  • O seed of Israel His servant,
Sons of Jacob, His chosen ones!
  • He is the LORD our God.

  • The covenant which He made with Abraham,
    And His oath to Isaac.
  • He confirmed it to Jacob as a decree,
and to the people of Israel as a never-ending covenant:
  • He also confirmed it to Jacob for a statute,
To Israel as an everlasting covenant,
  • “I will give you the land of Canaan
    as your special possession.”
  • Saying, “To you I will give the land of Canaan,
As the portion of your inheritance.”
  • He said this when you were few in number,
a tiny group of strangers in Canaan.
  • When they were only a few in number,
Very few, and strangers in it,
  • They wandered from nation to nation,
    from one kingdom to another.
  • And they wandered about from nation to nation,
And from one kingdom to another people,
  • Yet he did not let anyone oppress them.
He warned kings on their behalf:
  • He permitted no man to oppress them,
And He reproved kings for their sakes, saying,
  • “Do not touch my chosen people,
and do not hurt my prophets.”
  • “Do not touch My anointed ones,
And do My prophets no harm.”
