New Living Translation

Darby Bible Translation

  • A psalm of David.

    Let all that I am praise the LORD;
    with my whole heart, I will praise his holy name.
  • All Within Me, Praise His Holy Name!

    {[A Psalm] of David.} Bless Jehovah, O my soul; and all that is within me, [bless] his holy name!
  • Let all that I am praise the LORD;
    may I never forget the good things he does for me.
  • Bless Jehovah, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits:
  • He forgives all my sins
    and heals all my diseases.
  • Who forgiveth all thine iniquities, who healeth all thy diseases;
  • He redeems me from death
    and crowns me with love and tender mercies.
  • Who redeemeth thy life from the pit, who crowneth thee with loving-kindness and tender mercies;
  • He fills my life with good things.
    My youth is renewed like the eagle’s!
  • Who satisfieth thine old age with good [things]; thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.
  • The LORD gives righteousness
    and justice to all who are treated unfairly.
  • Jehovah executeth righteousness and justice for all that are oppressed.
  • He revealed his character to Moses
    and his deeds to the people of Israel.
  • He made known his ways unto Moses, his acts unto the children of Israel.
  • The LORD is compassionate and merciful,
    slow to get angry and filled with unfailing love.
  • Jehovah is merciful and gracious, slow to anger, and abundant in loving-kindness.
  • He will not constantly accuse us,
    nor remain angry forever.
  • He will not always chide, neither will he keep [his anger] for ever.
  • He does not punish us for all our sins;
    he does not deal harshly with us, as we deserve.
  • He hath not dealt with us according to our sins, nor rewarded us according to our iniquities.
  • For his unfailing love toward those who fear him
    is as great as the height of the heavens above the earth.
  • For as the heavens are high above the earth, so great is his loving-kindness toward them that fear him.
  • He has removed our sins as far from us
    as the east is from the west.
  • As far as the east is from the west, so far hath he removed our transgressions from us.
  • The LORD is like a father to his children,
    tender and compassionate to those who fear him.
  • As a father pitieth [his] children, so Jehovah pitieth them that fear him.
  • For he knows how weak we are;
    he remembers we are only dust.
  • For himself knoweth our frame; he remembereth that we are dust.
  • Our days on earth are like grass;
    like wildflowers, we bloom and die.
  • As for man, his days are as grass; as a flower of the field, so he flourisheth:
  • The wind blows, and we are gone —
    as though we had never been here.
  • For the wind passeth over it, and it is gone, and the place thereof knoweth it no more.
  • But the love of the LORD remains forever
    with those who fear him.
    His salvation extends to the children’s children
  • But the loving-kindness of Jehovah is from everlasting and to everlasting, upon them that fear him, and his righteousness unto children's children,
  • of those who are faithful to his covenant,
    of those who obey his commandments!
  • To such as keep his covenant and to those that remember his precepts to do them.
  • The LORD has made the heavens his throne;
    from there he rules over everything.
  • Jehovah hath established his throne in the heavens, and his kingdom ruleth over all.
  • Praise the LORD, you angels,
    you mighty ones who carry out his plans,
    listening for each of his commands.
  • Bless Jehovah, ye his angels, mighty in strength, that execute his word, hearkening unto the voice of his word.
  • Yes, praise the LORD, you armies of angels
    who serve him and do his will!
  • Bless Jehovah, all ye his hosts; ye ministers of his that do his will.
  • Praise the LORD, everything he has created,
    everything in all his kingdom.
    Let all that I am praise the LORD.
  • Bless Jehovah, all his works, in all places of his dominion. Bless Jehovah, O my soul!
