New Living Translation

King James Bible

  • Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good!
    His faithful love endures forever.
  • Give Thanks to the Lord, for He is Good

O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: because his mercy endureth for ever.
  • Let all Israel repeat:
    “His faithful love endures forever.”
  • Let Israel now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
  • Let Aaron’s descendants, the priests, repeat:
    “His faithful love endures forever.”
  • Let the house of Aaron now say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
  • Let all who fear the LORD repeat:
    “His faithful love endures forever.”
  • Let them now that fear the LORD say, that his mercy endureth for ever.
  • In my distress I prayed to the LORD,
and the LORD answered me and set me free.
  • I called upon the LORD in distress: the LORD answered me, and set me in a large place.
  • The LORD is for me, so I will have no fear.
What can mere people do to me?
  • The LORD is on my side; I will not fear: what can man do unto me?
  • Yes, the LORD is for me; he will help me.
I will look in triumph at those who hate me.
  • The LORD taketh my part with them that help me: therefore shall I see my desire upon them that hate me.
  • It is better to take refuge in the LORD
    than to trust in people.
  • It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in man.
  • It is better to take refuge in the LORD
    than to trust in princes.
  • It is better to trust in the LORD than to put confidence in princes.
  • Though hostile nations surrounded me,
I destroyed them all with the authority of the LORD.
  • All nations compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD will I destroy them.
  • Yes, they surrounded and attacked me,
but I destroyed them all with the authority of the LORD.
  • They compassed me about; yea, they compassed me about: but in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.
  • They swarmed around me like bees;
they blazed against me like a crackling fire.
But I destroyed them all with the authority of the LORD.
  • They compassed me about like bees; they are quenched as the fire of thorns: for in the name of the LORD I will destroy them.
  • My enemies did their best to kill me,
    but the LORD rescued me.
  • Thou hast thrust sore at me that I might fall: but the LORD helped me.
  • The LORD is my strength and my song;
    he has given me victory.
  • The LORD is my strength and song, and is become my salvation.
  • Songs of joy and victory are sung in the camp of the godly.
The strong right arm of the LORD has done glorious things!
  • The voice of rejoicing and salvation is in the tabernacles of the righteous: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.
  • The strong right arm of the LORD is raised in triumph.
The strong right arm of the LORD has done glorious things!
  • The right hand of the LORD is exalted: the right hand of the LORD doeth valiantly.
  • I will not die; instead, I will live
to tell what the LORD has done.
  • I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the LORD.
  • The LORD has punished me severely,
but he did not let me die.
  • The LORD hath chastened me sore: but he hath not given me over unto death.
  • Open for me the gates where the righteous enter,
and I will go in and thank the LORD.
  • Open to me the gates of righteousness: I will go into them, and I will praise the LORD:
  • These gates lead to the presence of the LORD,
    and the godly enter there.
  • This gate of the LORD, into which the righteous shall enter.
  • I thank you for answering my prayer
    and giving me victory!
  • I will praise thee: for thou hast heard me, and art become my salvation.
  • The stone that the builders rejected
    has now become the cornerstone.
  • The stone which the builders refused is become the head stone of the corner.
  • This is the LORD’s doing,
and it is wonderful to see.
  • This is the LORD'S doing; it is marvellous in our eyes.
  • This is the day the LORD has made.
We will rejoice and be glad in it.
  • This is the day which the LORD hath made; we will rejoice and be glad in it.
  • Please, LORD, please save us.
Please, LORD, please give us success.
  • Save now, I beseech thee, O LORD: O LORD, I beseech thee, send now prosperity.
  • Bless the one who comes in the name of the LORD.
We bless you from the house of the LORD.
  • Blessed be he that cometh in the name of the LORD: we have blessed you out of the house of the LORD.
  • The LORD is God, shining upon us.
Take the sacrifice and bind it with cords on the altar.
  • God is the LORD, which hath shewed us light: bind the sacrifice with cords, even unto the horns of the altar.
  • You are my God, and I will praise you!
You are my God, and I will exalt you!
  • Thou art my God, and I will praise thee: thou art my God, I will exalt thee.
  • Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good!
    His faithful love endures forever.
  • O give thanks unto the LORD; for he is good: for his mercy endureth for ever.
