New Living Translation

New King James Version

  • Praise the LORD!
    Sing to the LORD a new song.
    Sing his praises in the assembly of the faithful.
  • Praise to God for His Salvation and Judgment

    Praise[a] the Lord!
    Sing to the Lord a new song,
    And His praise in the assembly of saints.
  • O Israel, rejoice in your Maker.
    O people of Jerusalem,a exult in your King.
  • Let Israel rejoice in their Maker;
    Let the children of Zion be joyful in their King.
  • Praise his name with dancing,
    accompanied by tambourine and harp.
  • Let them praise His name with the dance;
    Let them sing praises to Him with the timbrel and harp.
  • For the LORD delights in his people;
    he crowns the humble with victory.
  • For the Lord takes pleasure in His people;
    He will beautify the [b]humble with salvation.
  • Let the faithful rejoice that he honors them.
    Let them sing for joy as they lie on their beds.
  • Let the saints be joyful in glory;
    Let them sing aloud on their beds.
  • Let the praises of God be in their mouths,
    and a sharp sword in their hands —
  • Let the high praises of God be in their mouth,
    And a two-edged sword in their hand,
  • to execute vengeance on the nations
    and punishment on the peoples,
  • To execute vengeance on the nations,
    And punishments on the peoples;
  • to bind their kings with shackles
    and their leaders with iron chains,
  • To bind their kings with chains,
    And their nobles with fetters of iron;
  • to execute the judgment written against them.
    This is the glorious privilege of his faithful ones.
    Praise the LORD!
  • To execute on them the written judgment —
    This honor have all His saints.
    [c]Praise the Lord!
