  • A psalm of David, regarding the time David fled from his son Absalom.

    O LORD, I have so many enemies;
    so many are against me.
  • Save Me, O My God

    A Psalm of David, when he fled from Absalom his son.

    O Lord, how many are my foes!
    Many are rising against me;
  • So many are saying,
    “God will never rescue him!”

  • many are saying of my soul,
    “There is no salvation for him in God.” Selaha
  • But you, O LORD, are a shield around me;
    you are my glory, the one who holds my head high.
  • But you, O Lord, are a shield about me,
    my glory, and the lifter of my head.
  • I cried out to the LORD,
    and he answered me from his holy mountain.

  • I cried aloud to the Lord,
    and he answered me from his holy hill. Selah
  • I lay down and slept,
    yet I woke up in safety,
    for the LORD was watching over me.

  • I am not afraid of ten thousand enemies
    who surround me on every side.
  • I will not be afraid of many thousands of people
    who have set themselves against me all around.
  • Arise, O LORD!
    Rescue me, my God!
    Slap all my enemies in the face!
    Shatter the teeth of the wicked!
  • Arise, O Lord!
    Save me, O my God!
    For you strike all my enemies on the cheek;
    you break the teeth of the wicked.
  • Victory comes from you, O LORD.
