  • A psalm of Solomon.

    Give your love of justice to the king, O God,
    and righteousness to the king’s son.
  • Glory and Universality of the Messiah’s Reign

    A Psalm of Solomon.

    Give the king Your judgments, O God,
    And Your righteousness to the king’s Son.
  • Help him judge your people in the right way;
    let the poor always be treated fairly.
  • He will judge Your people with righteousness,
    And Your poor with justice.
  • May the mountains yield prosperity for all,
    and may the hills be fruitful.
  • The mountains will bring peace to the people,
    And the little hills, by righteousness.
  • Help him to defend the poor,
    to rescue the children of the needy,
    and to crush their oppressors.
  • He will bring justice to the poor of the people;
    He will save the children of the needy,
    And will [a]break in pieces the oppressor.
  • May they fear youa as long as the sun shines,
    as long as the moon remains in the sky.
    Yes, forever!
  • [b]They shall fear You
    As long as the sun and moon endure,
    Throughout all generations.
  • May the king’s rule be refreshing like spring rain on freshly cut grass,
    like the showers that water the earth.
  • He shall come down like rain upon the grass before mowing,
    Like showers that water the earth.
  • May all the godly flourish during his reign.
    May there be abundant prosperity until the moon is no more.
  • In His days the righteous shall flourish,
    And abundance of peace,
    Until the moon is no more.
  • May he reign from sea to sea,
    and from the Euphrates Riverb to the ends of the earth.
  • He shall have dominion also from sea to sea,
    And from the River to the ends of the earth.
  • Desert nomads will bow before him;
    his enemies will fall before him in the dust.
  • Those who dwell in the wilderness will bow before Him,
    And His enemies will lick the dust.
  • The western kings of Tarshish and other distant lands
    will bring him tribute.
    The eastern kings of Sheba and Seba
    will bring him gifts.
  • The kings of Tarshish and of the isles
    Will bring presents;
    The kings of Sheba and Seba
    Will offer gifts.
  • All kings will bow before him,
    and all nations will serve him.
  • Yes, all kings shall fall down before Him;
    All nations shall serve Him.
  • He will rescue the poor when they cry to him;
    he will help the oppressed, who have no one to defend them.
  • For He will deliver the needy when he cries,
    The poor also, and him who has no helper.
  • He feels pity for the weak and the needy,
    and he will rescue them.
  • He will spare the poor and needy,
    And will save the souls of the needy.
  • He will redeem them from oppression and violence,
    for their lives are precious to him.
  • He will redeem their life from oppression and violence;
    And precious shall be their blood in His sight.
  • Long live the king!
    May the gold of Sheba be given to him.
    May the people always pray for him
    and bless him all day long.
  • And He shall live;
    And the gold of Sheba will be given to Him;
    Prayer also will be made for Him continually,
    And daily He shall be praised.
  • May there be abundant grain throughout the land,
    flourishing even on the hilltops.
    May the fruit trees flourish like the trees of Lebanon,
    and may the people thrive like grass in a field.
  • There will be an abundance of grain in the earth,
    On the top of the mountains;
    Its fruit shall wave like Lebanon;
    And those of the city shall flourish like grass of the earth.
  • May the king’s name endure forever;
    may it continue as long as the sun shines.
    May all nations be blessed through him
    and bring him praise.
  • His name shall endure forever;
    His name shall continue as long as the sun.
    And men shall be blessed in Him;
    All nations shall call Him blessed.
  • Praise the LORD God, the God of Israel,
    who alone does such wonderful things.
  • Blessed be the Lord God, the God of Israel,
    Who only does wondrous things!
  • Praise his glorious name forever!
    Let the whole earth be filled with his glory.
    Amen and amen!
  • And blessed be His glorious name forever!
    And let the whole earth be filled with His glory.
    Amen and Amen.
  • (This ends the prayers of David son of Jesse.)
  • The prayers of David the son of Jesse are ended.
