O LORD, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!
Your glory is higher than the heavens.

Провідникові хору. На струнах. На октаву. Псалом. Давида.

You have taught children and infants
to tell of your strength,b
silencing your enemies
and all who oppose you.

Господи, Боже наш, яке предивне твоє ім'я по всій землі! Ти возніс славу свою вище неба.

When I look at the night sky and see the work of your fingers —
the moon and the stars you set in place —

З уст дітей і немовлят учинив єси хвалу супроти твоїх супостатів, щоб угамувати ворога й бунтаря.

what are mere mortals that you should think about them,
human beings that you should care for them?c

Коли на небеса спогляну, твір твоїх пальців, на місяць та на зорі, що створив єси,

Yet you made them only a little lower than Godd
and crowned theme with glory and honor.

то що той чоловік, що згадуєш про нього, або людська істота, що про неї дбаєш.

You gave them charge of everything you made,
putting all things under their authority —

Мало чим зменшив єси його від ангелів, славою й честю увінчав його.

the flocks and the herds
and all the wild animals,

Поставив його володарем над творами рук твоїх, усе підбив йому під ноги:

the birds in the sky, the fish in the sea,
and everything that swims the ocean currents.

вівцю й усю скотину, та ще й дикого звіря,

O LORD, our Lord, your majestic name fills the earth!

птицю небесну й рибу в морі, і все, що морськими стежками ходить.
