  • A song. A psalm of the descendants of Korah.

    On the holy mountain
    stands the city founded by the LORD.
  • His Foundation is in the Holy Mountains

    {Of the sons of Korah. A Psalm. A Song.} His foundation is in the mountains of holiness.
  • He loves the city of Jerusalem
    more than any other city in Israel.a
  • Jehovah loveth the gates of Zion more than all the habitations of Jacob.
  • O city of God,
    what glorious things are said of you!
    Interlude
  • Glorious things are spoken of thee, O city of God. Selah.
  • I will count Egyptb and Babylon among those who know me —
    also Philistia and Tyre, and even distant Ethiopia.c
    They have all become citizens of Jerusalem!
  • I will make mention of Rahab and Babylon among them that know me; behold Philistia, and Tyre, with Ethiopia: this [man] was born there.
  • Regarding Jerusalemd it will be said,
    “Everyone enjoys the rights of citizenship there.”
    And the Most High will personally bless this city.
  • And of Zion it shall be said, This one and that one was born in her; and the Most High himself shall establish her.
  • When the LORD registers the nations, he will say,
    “They have all become citizens of Jerusalem.”

  • Jehovah will count, when he inscribeth the peoples, This [man] was born there. Selah.
  • The people will play flutese and sing,
    “The source of my life springs from Jerusalem!”
  • As well the singers as the dancers [shall say], All my springs are in thee.
