Then the LORD said to Moses, “I will strike Pharaoh and the land of Egypt with one more blow. After that, Pharaoh will let you leave this country. In fact, he will be so eager to get rid of you that he will force you all to leave.

І сказав Господь до Мойсея: „Ще одну пора́зу наведу́ Я на фараона й на Єгипет. Потому він відпустить вас ізвідси. А коли він бу́де відпускати вас, то зовсім вас вижене звідси!
Tell all the Israelite men and women to ask their Egyptian neighbors for articles of silver and gold.”
Скажи ж у ву́ха народу, і нехай пози́чить кожен від свого ближнього, а кожна від своєї ближньої по́суд срібний та по́суд золотий“,
(Now the LORD had caused the Egyptians to look favorably on the people of Israel. And Moses was considered a very great man in the land of Egypt, respected by Pharaoh’s officials and the Egyptian people alike.)
І дав Господь милість тому наро́дові в очах Єгипту. Також і цей муж, Мойсей, був дуже великий в єгипетськім кра́ї в очах фараонових рабів та в очах того наро́ду.
Moses had announced to Pharaoh, “This is what the LORD says: At midnight tonight I will pass through the heart of Egypt.
І промовив Мойсей: „Так сказав Госпо́дь! Коло пі́вночі Я вийду посеред Єгипту.
All the firstborn sons will die in every family in Egypt, from the oldest son of Pharaoh, who sits on his throne, to the oldest son of his lowliest servant girl who grinds the flour. Even the firstborn of all the livestock will die.
І помре кожен перворідний єгипетської землі від перворідного фараона, що сидить на своїм престолі, до перворідного невільниці, що за жо́рнами, і все перворідне з худо́би.
Then a loud wail will rise throughout the land of Egypt, a wail like no one has heard before or will ever hear again.
І зді́йметься великий зойк по всій єгипетській землі, що такого, як він, не бувало, і такого, як він, більш не буде.
But among the Israelites it will be so peaceful that not even a dog will bark. Then you will know that the LORD makes a distinction between the Egyptians and the Israelites.
А в усіх синів Ізраїлевих — від люди́ни й аж до худоби — навіть пес не висуне язика́ свого́, щоб ви знали, що відділює Господь між Єгиптом і між Ізраїлем.
All the officials of Egypt will run to me and fall to the ground before me. ‘Please leave!’ they will beg. ‘Hurry! And take all your followers with you.’ Only then will I go!” Then, burning with anger, Moses left Pharaoh.
І зі́йдуть усі оці раби твої до мене, і покло́няться мені, кажучи: Вийди ти та ввесь наро́д, що слухає тебе. По цьому я вийду“. І він вийшов від фараона, розпа́лений гнівом.
Now the LORD had told Moses earlier, “Pharaoh will not listen to you, but then I will do even more mighty miracles in the land of Egypt.”
І сказав Господь до Мойсея: „Не послухав вас фараон, — щоб могли помно́житись чу́да Мої в єгипетськім краї“.
Moses and Aaron performed these miracles in Pharaoh’s presence, but the LORD hardened Pharaoh’s heart, and he wouldn’t let the Israelites leave the country.
А Мойсей та Аарон учинили всі оці чу́да перед лицем фараоновим. Та зробив запеклим Господь фараонове серце, — і він не відпустив Ізраїлевих синів із своєї землі.
