Craftsmen: Bezalel and Oholiab

Then the LORD said to Moses,

1

І Господь промовив до Мойсея, кажучи:

“Look, I have specifically chosen Bezalel son of Uri, grandson of Hur, of the tribe of Judah.

Ось Я назвав по імені Веселеїла, сина Урії, сина Ора з племені Юди.

3

I have filled him with the Spirit of God, giving him great wisdom, ability, and expertise in all kinds of crafts.

3

Я наповнив його Божим Духом, мудрістю, розумом і хистом у кожному ділі,

4

He is a master craftsman, expert in working with gold, silver, and bronze.

4

щоб задумувати і творити, працювати із золотом, сріблом, міддю, синьою тканиною, пурпуром, пряденим кармазином і тканим вісоном,

5

He is skilled in engraving and mounting gemstones and in carving wood. He is a master at every craft!

і в різьбі по каменю, і в столярних справах, — для виконання всіх робіт.

“And I have personally appointed Oholiab son of Ahisamach, of the tribe of Dan, to be his assistant. Moreover, I have given special skill to all the gifted craftsmen so they can make all the things I have commanded you to make:

Я призначив його і Еліява, сина Ахісамаха з племені Дана, і кожному мудрому серцем Я дав розуміння, тож вони зроблять усе, що Я тобі заповів:

the Tabernacle;a
the Ark of the Covenant;b
the Ark’s cover — the place of atonement;
all the furnishings of the Tabernacle;

намет свідчення, ковчег завіту і кришку на ньому, і посуд намету,

the table and its utensils;
the pure gold lampstand with all its accessories;
the incense altar;

8

жертовники, стіл і весь посуд на ньому, чистий світильник і все його обладнання,

9

the altar of burnt offering with all its utensils;
the washbasin with its stand;

9

умивальник і його підставку,

10

the beautifully stitched garments — the sacred garments for Aaron the priest, and the garments for his sons to wear as they minister as priests;

10

шати для служіння Аарона та шати для його синів, щоби були Моїми священиками;

11

the anointing oil;
the fragrant incense for the Holy Place.
The craftsmen must make everything as I have commanded you.”

і олію помазання, і складну кадильну суміш для святині. Як Я тобі заповів, хай усе так і зроблять.

Instructions for the Sabbath

The LORD then gave these instructions to Moses:

І сказав Господь Мойсеєві, промовляючи:

“Tell the people of Israel: ‘Be careful to keep my Sabbath day, for the Sabbath is a sign of the covenant between me and you from generation to generation. It is given so you may know that I am the LORD, who makes you holy.

Тож накажи ти Ізраїльським синам, говорячи: Глядіть, дотримуйтеся Моїх субот! Адже це — ознака між Мною і вами для ваших поколінь, щоб ви знали, що Я — Господь, Який вас освячує.

14

You must keep the Sabbath day, for it is a holy day for you. Anyone who desecrates it must be put to death; anyone who works on that day will be cut off from the community.

Тож будете дотримуватися суботи, бо це — святе для вас. Хто її зневажатиме, нехай неодмінно помре [1]. Кожний, хто в цей день виконуватиме роботу, та душа буде вигублена з-поміж його народу.

15

You have six days each week for your ordinary work, but the seventh day must be a Sabbath day of complete rest, a holy day dedicated to the LORD. Anyone who works on the Sabbath must be put to death.

Шість днів звершуйте працю, а сьомого дня — субота, святий відпочинок, — для Господа. Кожний, хто в сьомий день працюватиме, нехай помре!

16

The people of Israel must keep the Sabbath day by observing it from generation to generation. This is a covenant obligation for all time.

І сини Ізраїля будуть дотримуватися субот, щоб для своїх поколінь зробити їх вічним завітом

17

It is a permanent sign of my covenant with the people of Israel. For in six days the LORD made heaven and earth, but on the seventh day he stopped working and was refreshed.’”

17

між Мною та Ізраїльськими синами. Це — знак навіки, бо впродовж шести днів Господь створив небо і землю, а сьомого дня Він перервав працю і відпочив.

18

When the LORD finished speaking with Moses on Mount Sinai, he gave him the two stone tablets inscribed with the terms of the covenant,c written by the finger of God.

І Господь дав Мойсеєві дві скрижалі свідчення — кам’яні таблиці, написані Божим перстом, коли перестав до нього промовляти на Синайській горі.
