The Wise and the Foolish
And I turned myself to behold wisdom, and madness, and folly: for what can the man do that cometh after the king? even that which hath been already done. -
The End of the Wise and the Fool
Then I turned myself to consider wisdom and madness and folly;
For what can the man do who succeeds the king? —
Only what he has already done. -

Заповзявсь я придивлятись, що воно таке мудрість, глупота й нерозум. Бо що буде чинити той, хто по цареві прийде? Те саме, що вже робилось.

Затем я стал размышлять о мудрости,
о безумии и глупости.
Ведь что еще может сделать преемник царя,
кроме того, что уже делалось? -
Я поглянув, щоб побачити мудрість, плутанину і безумність. Бо хто — людина, яка піде за порадою, що в усьому виконав її?
