  • The cow will graze near the bear.
    The cub and the calf will lie down together.
    The lion will eat hay like a cow.
  • The cow and the bear shall graze;
    their young shall lie down together;
    and the lion shall eat straw like the ox.
  • The baby will play safely near the hole of a cobra.
    Yes, a little child will put its hand in a nest of deadly snakes without harm.
  • The nursing child shall play over the hole of the cobra,
    and the weaned child shall put his hand on the adder’s den.
  • Nothing will hurt or destroy in all my holy mountain,
    for as the waters fill the sea,
    so the earth will be filled with people who know the LORD.
  • They shall not hurt or destroy
    in all my holy mountain;
    for the earth shall be full of the knowledge of the Lord
    as the waters cover the sea.

    to bring back the remnant of his people —
    those who remain in Assyria and northern Egypt;
    in southern Egypt, Ethiopia,d and Elam;
    in Babylonia,e Hamath, and all the distant coastlands.
  • In that day the Lord will extend his hand yet a second time to recover the remnant that remains of his people, from Assyria, from Egypt, from Pathros, from Cush,a from Elam, from Shinar, from Hamath, and from the coastlands of the sea.

  • He will raise a signal for the nations
    and will assemble the banished of Israel,

    and strike it into seven channels,
    and he will lead people across in sandals.
  • He will make a highway for the remnant of his people,
    the remnant coming from Assyria,
    just as he did for Israel long ago
    when they returned from Egypt.
  • And there will be a highway from Assyria
    for the remnant that remains of his people,
